First day of Preschool

Hallee has gone back and forth about being excited for preschool.  Some days she will say she doesn't want to go and other days she is excited for it.  Luckily she woke up excited for school yesterday.
She looked so cute running down the street with her back pack on.
We had fun walking to school together.  Hallee had to stop and smell all of the flowers.
I could tell Hallee was starting to get nervous when we walked in.  She signed her name and put her back pack away and then I told her I was going to leave.
She has been looking forward to playing in the play house like Wyatt did last year.  You can tell by her smile that she wasn't so sure about me leaving.  She kept looking like she was going to ask me to stay, but she never did.  She put on her brave face and went over and started playing.  Just like that, my baby is in preschool.  My kids are growing up so fast!
She was so happy when I picked her up and she couldn't wait to show me her crown and her balloon.  She told me all about her fun day and all of her new friends, even though she couldn't remember any of their names!
I'm a little sad that my baby is growing up, but I also like this new phase we are entering.  I will have an hour and forty-five minutes (Wyatt gets out of school at 11:15 AM) to myself twice a week and a lot of things are becoming easier as the kids get older.  I'm glad everyone is enjoying school!

First day of Kindergarten

Wyatt was so excited for his first day of Kindergarten on Thursday.  He set out his clothes the night before and woke up really early.
Keith decided to go into work late and take him to school with us.  We walked over to the school.  I haven't quite figured out if Wyatt should walk with Caitlyn and Jonah or if I will just take him.  I think I would worry if I didn't make sure Wyatt gets to his class.
Wyatt is excited that three of his friends from church are in his class.
We went in his class and I took a few pictures and Wyatt was ready for me to leave.  I'm sure glad he is ready and excited for school.
He came out of school with a huge smile on his face.  He loved school!

Dinosaur Museum

We took advantage of Two Dollar Tuesday at Thanksgiving Point.
Katie, Tiff and Audrey joined us.  The kids all had fun together.  I'm sad that Rockwell is in school all day, Wyatt is really going to miss him this year.  Luckily, Boston didn't start school until the next day so he was able to come.
Hallee was her usual emotional self.  She loved it and then she wanted to go home and then she loved it again.
After the museum we all went to McDonald's.  It was a fun way to get out of the house.

Utah, Utah, I don't even know what Utah is

Tonight Hallee had us all laughing during dinner when she sang, "Utah, Utah, I don't even know what Utah is."  She can always make us laugh.
We took advantage of early out on Monday and went to Lagoon as soon as the kids got home from school.  It worked out nice because Keith had to work late and Lagoon was empty, we didn't have to wait in any lines.  I had fun going on rides with the kids.  Wyatt tried the Scrambler for his new ride, he loved it.  I'm so glad we went, it was the perfect day to go.
Caitlyn has started babysitting.  She has babysat for two families in our ward now.  On Thursday when she got home Leslie (the woman she babysat for) texted me and said,"She might be my new favorite babysitter.  She knows what she's doing and she instills a ton of confidence as soon as she walks in the door.  I loved her!" I thought that summed up Caitlyn well.  She loves babysitting and she loves earning extra money!
Wyatt had to get his cavity filled this week.  He did awesome.  I'm so glad that is over with, hopefully we won't have any more cavities for a long time.
Hallee and I have been living it up while all the kids are at school.  I really needed a pedicure so we went together while the kids were in school.
Hallee didn't want a pedicure, but she liked getting her fingernails and toenails painted.
She had fun watching TV with Jackson while I cleaned the next morning.
Ron and Diane are in town dropping Haley off at BYU so we all met up at Brick Oven on Friday night.  It was fun to visit with everyone.  After dinner Mel and I went over to Tiff's house to visit.  It was a late night, but so much fun.
Jonah had his football game bright and early on Saturday morning.  It was a rough game.  Saratoga Springs has a really good team.  Jonah had a couple of good tackles, but he is still hesitant to get in there.  I can understand why he is nervous, but I hope he can get past it and be aggressive.
Last night Ron and Diane came over to see our house.  Hallee and Wyatt were already in bed, but Caitlyn and Jonah had fun showing off for them.
I've always loved Ron and Diane so it was great to have this time to visit with them.
Tonight was one of those wonderful nights when all of the kids played so well together.  They were playing "Boxcar Children."  I loved sitting downstairs and listening to them have fun together without fighting!

Are you ready for some football?!

Jonah has wanted to play tackle football for a couple of years, but when it came down to it I think he was too scared.  I can understand, I would be scared to play too.  This year I knew he wanted to play so I gave him the push he needed to play.  I don't want him to run from hard things and I think it is always great to learn something new.  Jonah doesn't know the game very well so he is out of his comfort zone.
I think it was all worth it just to see how cute he looks in his uniform!  What a stud!
He loves football practice.  He has practice three times a week and he is always excited to go.  He likes his coaches and he is making new friends on the team.
He started practicing at the beginning of August and there was usually only seven or eight boys at practice.  They got some new players in the last week or two, but still haven't had a great turn out to practice.  We were excited to see their first game today.
There were 18 players today, which is great because they were worried about having a team for a while.
Jonah played defense today, he played corner.  I am learning a lot about football, I constantly have questions for Mel and her boys.
The game went well.  It was a little chaotic and unorganized at times, which I figured it would be without everyone at practice. I could see Jonah get more comfortable as the game went on.  I'm sure he will grow and improve a lot this year.
Jonah loved the game, he said he had a lot of fun.  I'm so glad he is enjoying it so much.

Back to School

I can't believe how fast summer break went.  We had such a fun summer, one of our best.  We had fun vacations and a lot of fun activities.  I'm really sad that all of that is behind us, especially our Oregon trip, I wish we could relive that one.  I realized last week that even though we will miss our summer vacation we are probably ready for school to start.  We need some routine in our life and the kids need some time away from each other.  I have already noticed a big difference in how well they are getting along today after just a few days of school.
On Tuesday night we went to back to school night. We have three Lakeview Lions this year.  Caitlyn and Jonah weren't very excited about going back to school until they met their teachers.  We got some one-on-one time with each of their teachers and we all loved the teachers!  Jonah's is fun and has a great sense of humor, which is perfect for him.  Caitlyn's teacher is so sweet and made Caitlyn feel comfortable right away.  Wyatt loved seeing his classroom and meeting his teacher.  We have heard great things about Mrs. Cox.  Wyatt did great at his Kindergarten assessment.
Caitlyn and Jonah were up bright and early Wednesday for school.  They were both really excited.  They especially loved all of the pictures that I took! Ha!
Fourth grade for this stud!
I can't believe Caitlyn is in 6th grade, her last year in Elementary school.
The kids only go a half day for the first week so that we can have SEP with the teachers.  Jonah loves his teacher and I can see why.  She was excited to tell me that Jonah is the first one to pass off his timed math tests. Apparently no one has passed the first one, except for Jonah who has passed off all three.  She said that is a school record.  Jonah wants to go to school early every day so he can play with his friends.  He loves to play soccer with his friends every recess.  We are so proud of the way he is growing and maturing.  He works hard in school and he is a sweet, respectful, handsome boy!
Caitlyn sure is a beauty!  She is excited to be back in school.  She still hasn't made any really good friends, but she is very friendly with everyone at school.  She was really excited to meet up with a friend from last year, but she was disappointed when her friend was swearing at recess. I love that Caitlyn will always stand up for the right and has no problem sticking up for her standards.  I also love that she will walk up and talk to the other kids and ask if she can join in when a group of kids are playing together.  I admire that because that was always so hard for me, actually it still is.  Caitlyn's teacher is great.  She has a zero tolerance policy for drama and kids being unkind, Caitlyn and I are both excited about that.  I think it is going to be a great year!

Random Stuff

Wyatt wanted to wear his suit last week because he was giving a talk.  He did a great job.
Hallee cracks me up, she has such a spunky personality.  I love all of her facial expressions and how animated she is when she talks.  She loves to ride on Wyatt's motorcycle.
Hallee and Wyatt are our first kids to have a cavity.  Hallee went to a pediatric dentist to get hers filled this week.  I did not think they would be able to get her to cooperate.  She was trying not to cry when they put her in the chair and put the laughing gas over her nose.  I stayed in the corner because I knew if she saw me she would start crying.  I was so proud of her for being so brave. She did awesome, she just sat and watched her show while they did it.  It only took him a couple of minutes because the cavity was so small, they didn't even have to numb her. Hopefully Wyatt will do as well as Hallee did when he gets his filled next week.
Wyatt was pretty excited that he got to pick a prize at the dentist too.  He was quite happy with his mustache.
We were excited that grandma came to visit this week.  Hallee and Wyatt had fun playing with her before Caitlyn and Jonah got home from school.
I love this picture of Hallee, what a beauty!
We all loved having grandma all to ourselves.

I'm so glad when daddy comes home

Keith finally got home Saturday morning at 2:30 AM. We were both exhausted when the kids woke up the next morning.  The kids were so excited to see dad.  Keith got all of the kids a new shirt, they loved them! We spent the day relaxing and just playing together.
That night we went with Tiff, Paul, Ben and Katie to Tiff's stake conference meeting.  President Russell M Nelson was there.  I'm so glad we went, it was a great meeting.  Caitlyn watched Tiff's kids and Jonah watched Hallee and Wyatt.  After the meeting we went to Rita's.  It was so  nice to have some adult time.
On Sunday after church we went to Bridal Veil Falls.  It was the first time we have all been there together.  Jonah hadn't been there before and he was sure he wouldn't like it.
Jonah loved climbing up the rocks.  You can see him in the middle of the picture.
We all loved putting our feet in the cold water, it was really hot so it felt great.
After that we just walked around the canyon a little bit.
None of us wanted Keith to go to work on Monday.  He was able to leave a couple hours early so we could go to Lagoon.  Keith and I took turns going on rides with the bigger kids.
Hallee and Wyatt are just so cute.
We tried to get Hallee on the little tidal wave, but she wouldn't do it.
Wyatt wanted to ride the tilt-a-whirl for his new ride.  Keith and I went on it with him.  He tries so hard to like every ride, but once it started spinning really fast he was not a fan.  He has a sensitive stomach, so he doesn't like anything that might upset his stomach.
We went on Spider at the end of the night and it was crazy.  I have never had it spin that fast, everything was a big blur, I couldn't even see the track.  We had fun riding rides until closing.  I'm glad we were able to fit Lagoon in one more time before school started.
