Halloween Carnival

I saw a sign at the rec center advertising a Halloween Carnival.  It looked fun and members got in for free so we went on Saturday night.  It was quite the event.  They had trick-or-treating in one of the gyms.  They had different stations with characters from movies.
We had to get a picture with Batman to send to Kyle.  We all agreed that Kyle should work here next year!
Hallee was excited to see Elsa and Anna.
They did such a great job with the decorating.
After the trick-or-treating we split up.  I took Hallee and Wyatt to some activities.  They liked making the Harry Potter crafts.
After that we went to interactive story time.  They had a few different rooms for Trolls, the kids loved it.  They had the characters telling the stories and each room had a little activity for the kids.
They also had Peter Pan.  After that we went to an animal show.
Keith took Caitlyn and Jonah to the haunted house.  Keith said they got a little nervous at times, but they really liked it. After that we all went into another gym to play carnival games.  It was a great event and the kids loved it.

One last time

We decided that we wanted to go to Frightmares one last time since Keith didn't get to enjoy our last visit. On Friday Keith left work early and we headed over to Lagoon.  It was crowded, but not as bad as Saturdays.  We all rode the train together.
Keith and I took turns going around with the older kids so we could ride the rides that we wanted to one last time.
The kiddie area wasn't very crowded so Hallee and Wyatt got to ride a lot of rides.  They were excited to spend their money on glow sticks and necklaces.
Caitlyn and I went to a haunted house when we noticed that there was no line.  It was a little scary for Caitlyn, but she was glad that she went. Keith and Caitlyn went through one haunted house too.  I'm glad we made it one last time.

Hi Al

I love being an aunt and I love spending time with this cute, little guy!  I love his cute, little voice and how he says, "Hi Al," every time he sees me.  He is the cutest little guy around!
Kenzie is as cute as can be too.  She calls me mama, sorry Katie, but I love it!  I love spending time with these two!
On Saturday Keith painted the swing set.  The kids all wanted to help.  They all helped for a short time, but long enough to ruin their clothes.  Caitlyn was a trooper and helped the whole time.  Keith said he couldn't have done it without her.  I'm proud of her for working so hard and seeing the job through until the end.
I couldn't resist a picture of Hallee sleeping.  She looks so sweet!
Yesterday we had our Halloween dinner.  The kids love this.  Nadia hung out with us yesterday while her parents were out of town. It's always fun to have her around.
The Frankenstein pudding looks great, but for some reason none of the kids like it very much, weird!

Wilkerson Farms

I got to go on Wyatt's field trip last week. He was so excited to take the bus. I was hoping to drive, but I got to ride the bus too.  Luckily it isn't far so it was a short bus ride.
I was in charge of these five boys.  One of them was a handful and two were wanderers so it was a little tough to keep track of them.
They had a lot of different activities for the kids.  The kids loved the tractor races!
It was fun to spend the day with Wyatt, especially because he was so excited for me to come.
The slides were really fast and bumpy.
It was nice to get to know some of the kids in his class.  I told Wyatt's teacher I could help out in the classroom, but she hasn't needed me yet.  Wyatt only has 18 kids in his class.
We got to learn about different farm equipment.  The kids had more fun climbing on the equipment.
Wyatt sure is a handsome guy!
We got to go on the hayride right before it was time to go.  I was glad I had Ami in my group, he is such a good kid and a great friend to Wyatt.

Fall Break

We had a fun Fall Break.  It was so nice to have almost a week off of school.  We loved sleeping in and having fun with friends and cousins.  Mel and Amarie came over last Friday.  Tiff and the kids came over too.  My kids love spending time with their cousins and I love talking to my sisters!
On Saturday night Tiff and Paul invited us over for a fire and games.  Katie and Ben came too.  It was so fun. We played Family Feud and laughed until my stomach hurt.  It is so nice that Jonah can watch our kids because Catilyn had babysitting jobs all weekend.  She loves to babysit and she loves to earn money!
On Monday we went to the Parkway with Tiff.  We went down by the water so the kids could throw rocks in the water.
Hallee got hurt and was feeling sad.  All on his own Jonah went over and put his arm around her and cheered her up.  What a sweet boy!
The kids had a blast exploring and picking out leaves, rocks and sticks.
I was really excited when Jonah told me to come over and look at how pretty all of the trees were with all of their colors and with the leaves falling off the trees, it is nice when the kids notice the beauty of nature.  Rockwell and Hallee were looking with Jonah, I'm not sure why Wyatt has a terrified look on his face!
Perfect way to spend the morning.
After that we took Rockwell and Tessa home with us while Tiff took Damon home for a nap.  The kids had a great time playing.  Wyatt said it was the best day ever because he got to play with Rockwell twice and go swimming!
When Keith got home we went swimming.  There wasn't very many people there, it was great.  Wyatt is so excited that he can reach in the lazy river now.  The kids love going around that.
We all played and had a great time together.
Hallee wanted me to take a picture of her floating. On Tuesday Tiff and I took Mel to lunch for her birthday.  It worked out great because my kids were still out of school.  Jonah watched Wyatt and Caitlyn and Hallee went to Tiff's house to watch Damon and Tessa while we went to lunch.  It was great to visit with my sisters for a couple of hours without entertaining kids!  I let the boys have friends over when we got home.  We all had a great Fall Break.  It was a little rough to go back to school on Wednesday!

Party at Lagoon

I took the kids to Lagoon last Thursday during Fall Break.  Nadia wanted to come so I invited Rachel too so she would have someone to go around with.  I love all of my young women, but these two have been my sidekicks since camp, mostly Nadia, but Rachel likes to hang out with me too.  She is very sarcastic and I get her.
We went straight to Cannibal.  We did the baby swap so I got to ride it with Nadia after these four went.  Rachel told us she hates rides after this ride.  What?  I'm not sure why she came to Lagoon, but she was fine sitting out on most of the rides.
We met Allison there.  Wyatt and Hallee love riding the rides with Jack.
These four have so much fun together.  I love that no matter how much time has gone by they pick up right where they left off.  They all paid to ride the go-karts.  It took almost two hours.  It was so crowded.
Allison and I were just happy to be out of the crowds while we waited for them.  It was so great to spend the day catching up with Allison.  I always feel so good after talking to her and I hope she feels the same. Hallee had fun playing with Maelin.  Hallee likes babies, but she also gets very nervous when they touch her stuff!  You can definitely tell Hallee is the youngest child. We got some dinner and then Allison took the four youngest kids home.  Keith met her and picked up Hallee and Wyatt.  It was a relief to have them gone and not be pushing around the stroller in the crowds.  They were ready to go home and I was ready to have fun and ride the rides!
Nadia and Rachel hung out with me and Allison a lot.  I kept telling them to go ride the rides, but I know they were hoping I would go ride them with them.  They said I was acting like a grown up.  Ha!  I told them it is different on Wednesday night and girls camp when I don't have my mom responsibilities!  After the little kids left we got in line for a Haunted House.  Jonah and Max didn't want to go so they went off to ride rides.  Grace got really nervous and ended up going off with the boys.  I felt torn because I was worried about the three of them, but I really wanted to go in a haunted house and Caitlyn, Nadia and Rachel really wanted me to go with them.
I went through one haunted house with them.  They were hilarious, they were all screaming and hiding behind me.  I ran off so they wouldn't be able to hide behind me.  When we got out they all said they weren't scared, yeah right!  After that we met up with Grace, Jonah and Max and rode rides until closing.  It was so nice to not have to worry about the little kids and be able to ride all of the rides.  It was stressful at times, but it was a really fun day!

We can earn a pizza party!

Last week Hallee and I met Keith at Café Rio for lunch.  Hallee got so excited telling Keith about the box top competition and that her class could earn a pizza party that she grabbed his face and yelled excitedly, "we can earn a pizza party!"
Hallee is still amazing me with how quickly she is learning.  She finished the first set of Sam Books and she started on the second set yesterday and she is already on book seven.  She is so excited about reading and learning right now, I love it!
Last Wednesday we had a combined activity and the kids painted pumpkins.  Caitlyn had a lot of fun.  She loves mutual.
Keith got invited to the Jazz game by his Brand Partner again.  This time he was able to go!  Mark's wife couldn't go so he took Keith.  It was a whole new world for Keith.  They were on the 8th row.  Their seats came with parking right across the street and tickets to the Toyota club.  The Toyota club is in the basement of the arena.  Keith said it is a huge area with tables and a huge buffet.  He had prime rib for dinner and then they have food you can take to your seat.  They also had a dessert bar at halftime and after the game.  Keith loved it.  It was a great game, he said it was a whole different experience watching the game in those seats.  President Uchtdorf and his wife (he is in the black sweater) were across the court from him and so was Mitt Romney.  It was a great game, the Jazz came from behind to win it.  Keith loved it and was on cloud nine when he came home.  We are hoping Mark will share his tickets again this season!
Hallee and Wyatt are always up early.  Jonah didn't used to sleep in, but he has started sleeping in lately. Hallee and Wyatt are really good on Saturdays and usually play together until everyone wakes up.  I heard them playing so I went in to see what they were doing.  They were playing doctor, they were thrilled to have me as a patient.  I was thrilled that I got to lay in Wyatt's bed while we played.  Wyatt is giving the eye exam and Hallee is marking everything down on the chart.  I love when they play together, they don't do it as much anymore so I really appreciate it when they do.
Hallee has been wanting a haircut.  Last winter I cut her hair and she loved it so I decided to do it again.  I love her hair, it is the most beautiful color!
I went way shorter than I was planning.  I should not have done it while Wyatt had four friends running through the house and Jonah had two friends over.  Luckily she looks cute no matter what, but I do miss her long hair.
The short hair does fit her sassy personality!
Wednesday night we worked hard to get the kid's reflections contest projects finished.  We have known about them for a month and the kids all wanted to do it, but they all kept putting it off.  Wyatt decided to take this picture.  The theme is "Within Reach."  He wanted to take a picture of someone helping someone else.  Hallee drew a picture of a rainbow and a sky and Jonah wrote a great story about a basketball player learning that it's not all about winning, it's about working hard and doing your best.  He did a great job, he is a talented writer.
When did my cute, little boy become such a handsome young man!  Jonah started basketball practice this week.  I went to a parents meeting and I think we are both going to like the coach.  He is going to work them hard, but Jonah will love it.  Jonah has two boys from last year on his team.  He loved practice and said he really likes his coach.
Caitlyn loves to play with kids.  She loves to play with Hallee.  I love to hear the laughing together.
