Parent-Teacher Conference

Caitlyn had parent-teacher conference a couple of weeks ago.  It was fun to see her confidence as she walked through the halls and said hi to friends while she showed me her classes.  Middle school has been an adjustment for Caitlyn, but she has the hang of it now.  She has made some new friends that she eats lunch with and is enjoying her classes.
Hallee tagged along with us.  We found out she can fit in Caitlyn's locker.
I loved hearing glowing reports from all of her teachers.  They all said she is the perfect student.  She is willing to ask questions and is always on task and working hard.  Her gym teacher told me that Caitlyn got a shy girl who struggles with anxiety to participate.  She said she tried for weeks and couldn't get the girl to do anything, but Caitlyn kept working with her and got her to participate and now she participates every day.  Caitlyn is such a kind, empathetic girl.
In Caitlyn's business class she showed me her presentation on her future.  I loved seeing the things that she wanted in her future.
Her and Amarie always talk about sharing a house together!
She said everyone wanted a nice sports car, but she wants a van.  I love it!  I am proud of Caitlyn for working hard and keeping a positive attitude about school even when it was hard.  I love that she isn't afraid to walk up to people and ask if she can eat with them or try and get to know new people.

Great job Caitlyn! That is so wonderful to get glowing reports from the teachers and I especially loved what the gym teacher said about her getting the girl to participate. That's so typical for Caitlyn to really care about others and try to help them. I'm proud of that girl!
