Today my boy turns 11-years-old. I was so excited to have a boy and Jonah is exactly what I hoped for in a son. He is athletic, hilarious, kind and he always looks out for me and doesn't like me to be upset.
Jonah is very intelligent. He was blessed with a sharp mind, but even better, he loves to learn new things. He gets excited about understanding how things work and new ways of doing things. He is getting so much better at being willing to try new things and not worrying about being perfect at everything. Jonah loves to read. When he finds a series he likes, he will cruise through each book.
Jonah is a charmer! He loves to smile and have fun with everyone. He can talk and get along with anyone. He is friends with everyone he meets. He can adjust and find common interest with the kids at school. He will do what they are interested in when they get together. I love that about him.
Jonah is strong! He has big leg and arm muscles that he is very proud of. He is very active and is always playing some type of sport or jumping on the trampoline.
Jonah is a great team player. He is getting really good at focusing on team work and making sure the whole team succeeds. He is a great sport, he can handle winning and losing with grace. I'm proud of him because a lot of boys his age can't, actually a lot of the parents can't.
Jonah is hilarious. Jonah can make me laugh all the time. He is a very happy kid. He can get upset sometimes, but he is very easy going most of the time. He is always up for an adventure and doesn't get stressed about things. I love how excited he gets about everything and I love the hilarious, crazy things that come out of his mouth.
I love how well rounded Jonah is. He is interested in everything. He loves science and math and he loves to write. His 4th grade teacher is sure he is going to be a famous author some day. He writes some amazing stories. He loves to play the piano and he is doing really well at it. Sports are his passion, but he loves so many other things.
Jonah has the best laugh. I love to make him laugh just so I can hear it. I love to watch funny movies with him!
Jonah is a great brother. He is good at stopping and listening and reacting when the kids tell him something exciting. He loves to teach Hallee and Wyatt new things.
Jonah knows and loves the scripture stories. He has read all of the scripture story books that we have and can tell you any story from them. The actual scriptures are a little harder for him to get into, but he set a goal for scouts and read them every night for a month.
Jonah really is the whole package! He is a lot like Keith and will make a great husband and father some day. Jonah said he is going to buy me a house when he plays in the NBA! Jonah has all the ingredients to have a wonderful life and I'm excited to see it unfold. It is truly a pleasure to be his mother.
