Ecola State Park and Cannon Beach

Julie told us that if the weather cooperated that we should go to Ecola State Park because it has the best view.  The weather cooperated and the view did not disappoint!  Isn't that gorgeous?  We stayed there for a while and enjoyed the view.
I love listening to waves crash into the rocks.  My perfect day would be to bring a book to the beach and sit and read while I listened to the sounds of the ocean.
We walked down a path so we could get a closer look at this light house on a rock.
We were planning to go to Seaside, but the weather was so great and Cannon Beach was really close so we decided to go there next.  Wyatt had a lot of fun with Ammon.
Hallee had a bit of a rough day, she kept getting tired and she hated all of the mud.  Keith can always cheer her up.  They had fun walking along the beach together.
I think she was looking forward to playing on the beach, so she was glad when she finally got to play on the beach after all of our other stops.
We stayed at Cannon beach for a while.  It was so fun!
We had fun visiting and the kids had fun running around and exploring.
Wyatt found a crab shell.  He was thrilled that I said he could take it home.  I forgot to tell him that he had to keep it outside.  I couldn't figure out why his room stunk so bad and Caitlyn figured it out that it was the crab, yuck!
The boys always find the little rivers where they can race sticks.
The girls had fun writing in the sand.  Hallee wrote, "I love you."
I had fun visiting with mom and Julie.
The men had fun visiting.
We told grandma that she should do some jumping pictures with the girls.  Pretty good mom!
We were sad that Caleb couldn't come. He had some last minute things he needed to finish up before he left on Monday.  We missed him!
Caitlyn wanted a picture with grandma. So cute!
I wish I could spend every day playing on the beach.
Gary and Julie brought a bucket and shovel and Hallee really wanted to make a sand castle. I helped her fill up buckets and she loved lifting the buckets off the sand to see if they kept their shape.
After Cannon beach we headed over to Seaside.  It was really crowded, so I'm glad we played at Cannon beach.
We made it just in time to watch the sun set.
It was beautiful and the perfect way to end our time on the beach.

I want to read a book listening to the waves crash with you! That sounds wonderful. I love those jumping pictures with Mom.

It was such a fun day and we did see some beautiful things from the beach to the sunset! The pictures were great, especially the one of Keith and Hallee walking holding hands! That's great that he can calm her down. She was sure good and happy when she rode with us. It was just a great trip, wasn't it?
