I have a very hard time relaxing, I'm always uptight and worried about something. Every once in a while I feel totally relaxed and it is amazing. I wish I could feel that more often! I was able to kick back and relax this weekend and it was great.
We had a great day on Sunday. There was a river along the property and we hiked along there for a few miles.
The kids loved stopping to throw rocks in the water.
Wyatt and Rockwell walked with this stick almost the whole way back.
Jonah and Kiara had fun trying to climb the big hills while we let the little ones throw rocks in the water.
Handsome guy!
Jonah threw a big rock in the water and splashed Hallee. She wasn't very happy about it so Jonah carried her for a while to make it up to her.
It was so pretty up there.
We walked a lot farther than Hallee would have liked, but overall she was a really good sport about it.
Hallee asked me if we could live at the cabins.
After lunch the babies and husbands took a nap. The older kids were happily playing so Tiff, Katie and I got to sit and relax for a couple of hours. It was great.
After nap time Caitlyn gave the kids a lesson that she had prepared. They had fun coloring the books she made for them.
The boys had fun playing lawn darts.
The kids loved coloring the bricks.
Paul made a fire for us each night and we had fun roasting marshmallows. After we put the kids to bed the six of us would stay up and talk around the fire. It was so fun, we laughed a lot!
On Monday we had to check out by 11 AM. We decided to pack up and head over to a park in Orem. We had fun playing basketball, playing at the park and having races. My kids sure love uncle Paul!
Kiara and Jonah are similar in so many ways. They are both very athletic and competitive. They started having races and then everyone wanted to join in.
I was glad that Wyatt raced, he gets discouraged easily.
Hallee and Damon were really cute racing.
The kids got excited when Ben and Tiff joined the race. Poor Boston and Kiara collided as you can see in the picture.
Jonah was thrilled that he barley beat Tiff! My kids are so lucky to have such great aunts and uncles. We played at the park for a couple of hours and then we all headed home. It was a wonderful weekend. I'm so glad we did it.
