Relaxation!

I have a very hard time relaxing, I'm always uptight and worried about something.  Every once in a while I feel totally relaxed and it is amazing.  I wish I could feel that more often! I was able to kick back and relax this weekend and it was great.
We had a great day on Sunday.  There was a river along the property and we hiked along there for a few miles.
The kids loved stopping to throw rocks in the water.
Wyatt and Rockwell walked with this stick almost the whole way back.
Jonah and Kiara had fun trying to climb the big hills while we let the little ones throw rocks in the water.
Handsome guy!
Jonah threw a big rock in the water and splashed Hallee.  She wasn't very happy about it so Jonah carried her for a while to make it up to her.
It was so pretty up there.
We walked a lot farther than Hallee would have liked, but overall she was a really good sport about it.
Hallee asked me if we could live at the cabins.
After lunch the babies and husbands took a nap.  The older kids were happily playing so Tiff, Katie and I got to sit and relax for a couple of hours.  It was great.
After nap time Caitlyn gave the kids a lesson that she had prepared.  They had fun coloring the books she made for them.
The boys had fun playing lawn darts.
The kids loved coloring the bricks.
Paul made a fire for us each night and we had fun roasting marshmallows.  After we put the kids to bed the six of us would stay up and talk around the fire.  It was so fun, we laughed a lot!
On Monday we had to check out by 11 AM.  We decided to pack up and head over to a park in Orem.  We had fun playing basketball, playing at the park and having races.  My kids sure love uncle Paul!
Kiara and Jonah are similar in so many ways.  They are both very athletic and competitive. They started having races and then everyone wanted to join in.
I was glad that Wyatt raced, he gets discouraged easily.
Hallee and Damon were really cute racing.
The kids got excited when Ben and Tiff joined the race.  Poor Boston and Kiara collided as you can see in the picture.
Jonah was thrilled that he barley beat Tiff!  My kids are so lucky to have such great aunts and uncles.  We played at the park for a couple of hours and then we all headed home.  It was a wonderful weekend.  I'm so glad we did it.

Rivers Edge Resort

We stayed at Rivers Edge Resort for two nights.  The kids were so excited to be together.
Our cabins were right next to each other, it was perfect.
The kids had a blast playing together.  The boys had fun looking for rocks and checking out the plants.
Hallee brought her gems and had fun sharing them with everyone.
We had camp fires every night and made s'mores.
I never got tired of hearing Damon say marshmallow.
We ate yummy food!
The older three had a lot of fun together.  They liked riding their scooters around and playing volleyball.
The kids loved playing at the park.
Caitlyn loves to swing and she loves to play with Kenzie!
Hallee had a lot of fun playing with Damon.  She thought it was so funny when he would "get bad guys." It was really cute when Damon gave Hallee a ride on his motorcycle.
These boys laughed so much this weekend.  They have so much fun together.
They had fun making funny movies on the kindle.
They had fun going from cabin to cabin playing.
The club house was fun for the kids.

Deer Creek Reservoir

We had a great Memorial Day weekend.  We spent the weekend with the Barth's and the Carr's. We started it off by going to Deer Creek Reservoir.  It was beautiful there.
It wasn't a sandy beach like I was picturing, but the kids still had a great time.
You had to climb over rocks to get into the water, so we didn't play in the water a ton.
We still got our feet in though.
Look at that beauty!
They had an obstacle course set up in the water.  The older kids really wanted to do it so we decided to go ahead and let them do it.  I'm really glad that we did, they had a blast.
Jonah had second thoughts when they told him that they had to swim out there.  The water was freezing!  Caitlyn was thrilled and jumped right in!
You can see Jonah in front, then Caitlyn and Kiara behind her.
I like this picture of Jonah helping Kiara up.
We were pretty far away from the obstacle course so it was hard to see the kids, but we could see some of it.
We could see them jumping along these steps, it was like a ladder.
It took Caitlyn a few times to get the hang of it.  Here she is falling.
She got the hang of it though.  They got to play for an hour.  They were pretty exhausted after going over and over for an hour and swimming back and forth.
I love spending time with Damon.  He is so cute and he gets so excited about everything.
Jonah had fun throwing rocks with the boys after the obstacle course.
Jonah was playing football with Ben and Kiara and Hallee wanted to play.  Jonah is always sweet to include Hallee. After a few hours it was getting windy and we were all ready to head out.  It was a fun afternoon.  The kids keep asking to go back.
