New Ride

Caitlyn has been babysitting a lot.  She babysits for the May's every Friday night during football season and she has been babysitting most Saturday nights as well. She has earned a lot of money and kept debating on what to spend it on.  She has put some in her college account, I bribe her by doubling what she puts in.  She loves to buy crafts, but lately she has been saving to get something she really wanted.
She loves Hallee and Wyatt's jeep, but I won't let her ride in it because it is made for young kids not teenagers.  She decided that she wanted some wheels of her own. She debated on different options, but when this came up on KSL she knew it was perfect for her.  I talked to the guy selling it and he said he would hold it for us until after school so she could come look at it.
She fell in love with it and gladly handed over her $150 to buy it.  It is a great deal because these are at least $400 new.  The man was impressed that she had earned all of the money herself and handed her back $5 and told her to treat herself to a drink on the way home.  She bought a drink for both of us to thank me for taking her to get it.  She is so sweet.
She let her brothers drive it right after she got it.  She had a blast driving it around the neighborhood and she loves to take Wyatt on rides.
She let Jonah and his friends take it for a ride.  She can't wait to get home and ride it every day. She goes around the neighborhood and lets all the other beehives have a turn. She also likes to drive over to the Elementary school and drive it around the park over there.  She drove herself to piano on it last week.
Wyatt and Hallee helped her wash it.  She ended up getting a flat tire.  Unfortunately it was the back tire which is connected to everything.  Keith spent most of Saturday fixing it for her.  He finally got it all put back together and working, but now the brake isn't working because he had to take that apart too. I'm sure he will be able to fix that today.  She is lucky she has such a handy dad.  Now Caitlyn knows the woes of owning a car!  I'm so proud of her for working hard and saving up for something that she really wanted.

That is so cool that Caitlyn saved her money after working hard and bought the scooter! How wonderful that she's so generous with it too! I'm very impressed!

I don’t know why I think the kids washing the scooter is so cute, but I do!! 😄
