Happy Birthday Caitlyn

Caitlyn thought having her birthday on Sunday wouldn't be any fun, but we proved her wrong! Two hour church definitely helps!  I told some of the young women that it was her birthday and asked them to make a fuss over her.  

Keith got someone to cover his responsibilities after church so he could spend the day at home.  Caitlyn wanted Eggs Benedict for breakfast, but since we have church so early we had it for lunch instead.  

I think this is the first time both boys ate it too.  Keith was thrilled with her choice of food! 

After lunch Caitlyn wanted to open presents.  She loved the shower speaker that Jonah got her.  Wyatt made her dice out of tin foil and Caitlyn made Wyatt feel so good about them.  Hallee wrote her such a sweet note and gave her a flower.

Caitlyn didn't give me any ideas for gifts so she was surprised by everything.  I love picking out gifts that they haven't asked for, but I know they will love.  

She was so excited to get her own echo dot. She loves having it in her room!

Caitlyn loves to bake and I'm lacking in the baking supply category.  She was disappointed that we didn't have a sifter so I knew she would be happy to get one.

She did ask for some silicone molds and was excited to get those.

Caitlyn was so happy with her presents.  She kept thanking us and telling us how much she loved them.

We sure love this girl.  I need to take her pictures so I can do her post about how wonderful she is.  She is amazing and wise beyond her years.  I remember how excited we were to "finally" have our baby and she was definitely worth the wait.

We had a quick family home evening lesson and then spent the afternoon relaxing and spending time together.  All of the kids played on the trampoline for a long time.  Caitlyn has been loving the trampoline lately and she was thrilled to have her siblings out there with her.  They all took turns doing tricks.  Caitlyn had a great day so far.

We went to my parents for dinner.  Caitlyn was excited to spend her birthday with family.  She loves her extended family!

She asked my parents for an expensive water bottle.  I thought it was strange because we have so many water bottles, but she LOVES her water bottle.  She has talked about it nonstop since Sunday.  

She also got Mad Gab and we have had fun playing that.

She loves celebrating with EJ every year.

I'm not sure what they were talking and laughing about, but I loved watching EJ and Caitlyn together.  EJ will probably be leaving for school sometime soon and I'm having a hard time with it.  I just keep thinking about how much I'm going to miss him.  He is such a great guy.  He is so much fun to be around and it won't be the same without him!  

Caitlyn had a great birthday!  I'm so glad she enjoyed it so much.  She is always so selfless and worried about everyone else, so I'm glad she got a couple of days where we made it all about her and what she wanted.  Happy birthday Caitlyn!
