Swimming at Katie's

We finally made it over to Katie's to swim this week.  Jonah stayed back to hang out with his friends (his goal in life).
We were sad that Audrey didn't come.  Hopefully we will have a lot more of these days this summer.
The boys had a blast together.
These girls are just the cutest!
I had fun playing in the pool with the kids.
Kiara didn't want to get in the picture, but Caitlyn had fun with her.  It's so nice to go places where everyone has a friend!

Girls Day

On Saturday me and the girls went to see Ataiya in Frozen Jr. and then went to Amarie's dance recital.  Hallee kept saying, "girls day."
It made it more fun to go with Tiff and Tessa!
The show was great. Hallee and Tessa loved it and they loved getting their picture taken with Elsa and Anna after the show.
Ataiya did amazing as usual.  She is such a great actress.  It was fun to see her on stage again.
After that we grabbed a quick dinner and then headed over to Amaire's dance recital.  I love watching Amarie dance.  She is a beautiful dancer with amazing showmanship.  It was the perfect girls day!

The Purple Unicorns

Every year Jimmer Fredette puts on a 3-on-3 tournament at the Provo Rec Center.  Jonah has wanted to do it, but it has never worked out.  He was excited that he found three friends to do it with this year.  They had to pick a team name and they picked Purple Unicorns.  Jonah said it was to make people think they weren't very good and then they would be surprised with how good they were.
Keith and I picked up the boys and spent the morning watching them play.  I think they went in a little too confident.  They are all good players, so I was pretty confident too.
I couldn't believe how many good players there were!  All of the teams were so good and some of them were so tall!  Look at number 99 next to Jonah, he looked like he could have been Jonah's dad.  I know he was only thirteen though, because we had to show birth certificates.  Crazy! The boys played hard and held their own with this team, but they ended up losing both pool play games.
Jimmer came before the play off games started.  He showed them some of his warm up drills and had a shooting contest with some of the kids.  The Purple Unicorns went down in the first round of the playoffs.  They had a lot of fun though.  I'm glad Jonah finally got to participate.
Yesterday we took the scouts to Fat Cats to bowl.  They were having a work party so all of the lanes were full so we played pool instead.  We brought Hallee and Wyatt along because they wanted to bowl.
Keith and Wyatt played a game while Ben and McKay played next to them.  Hallee and I just watched and cheered them on.

Pizza Party with Kyle

Kyle said he wanted to have a pizza party for our kids and Tiff's kids while we went out to thank us for helping him out this year.  I  thought that was so sweet of him.  We decided to send Hallee and Wyatt with Kyle over to Tiff's and spend the evening with Caitlyn and Jonah.  Hallee and Wyatt were so excited and had so much fun.  We love having Kyle here in Provo!  We are going to miss him this summer.
We debated on what to do and finally decided to get some take out and watch a scary movie.
Caitlyn and Jonah were excited for some big kid time!  We played Yahtzee after we watched the movie.
After that Caitlyn and Jonah went out and jumped on the trampoline.
They ended up watching funny videos and laughing together.  I loved seeing them have fun together.

Celebrating Keith

I've been at girls camp the last two years on Keith's birthday so I was excited to be home this year.  We all went out to dinner when he got home from work.  He picked Burger Supreme.
Wyatt picked out a pocket knife for Keith at cub camp earlier that day.
On Sunday we had a nice, relaxing day at home.  Keith picked eggs benedict for dinner. Caitlyn helped me make it, which was nice because there are so many things you need to cook at the same time.
Caitlyn made Keith rice crispy treats, his favorite.  She put fourteen candles in it and said it was to celebrate fourteen years of being a father.
It was great to take a couple of days and celebrate Keith.  He is such a great husband and father.  He is so kind and helpful.  He is so good at spending time with the kids and making them feel special.  The kids love spending time with him and they love his sense of humor.  We are so lucky to have him!

Cub Camp

Today Wyatt and I got to go to Cub Camp.  I really struggle with my calling in the cub scouts.  I am not a fan of scouts and I struggle to come up with activities every week.  I do love the boys though, so that helps a lot.  Wyatt will get to join my group in July and that will help too.
I went around with the wolves so I could be with Wyatt.
Wyatt didn't want to go to camp, but I told him he had to go since I had to go!  I knew he would have fun.  They played a game while we were waiting to get started.  They had to hit the ball with their hand and try and get the ball to hit other people. If the ball hit you or if you hit the wall you were out.  Wyatt was excited when he was the last man standing one round.
He said the BB guns was his favorite thing.
He was excited that he got a bulls eye!
We made bottle rockets before camp and they got to shoot them off.  The boys loved that!
I love spending the day with my boy!  I love that he wanted me to be his buddy and he gave me a hug in front of all of his friends!
Wyatt also loved the boats.
Wyatt has been in such a good phase lately.  He has been so cooperative and kind.  He is constantly telling me that he loves me and giving me hugs.  He hasn't been getting upset like he used to.
Wyatt loved archery.
It took him a little while to get it down, but he kept working at it and was so happy when he hit the target.  I'm glad I got to spend the day with my boy and I'm even more glad that I'm home and showered now!

Happenings

Melanie asked if Caitlyn and I would like to join them for Newsies at Scera Theatre.  I debated about just sending Caitlyn or both of us going.  I'm so glad I went, I loved it.
The show was great and so was the company!  I loved the outdoor theater on a beautiful summer night!
Wyatt has been watching relative race.  He made an obstacle course in the back yard and gave each team coins like they do on the show.  I love that he has an idea and he just gets to work on it.
Wyatt and I were on a team and Keith and Caitlyn were a team and Hallee was the judge.  We had four different obstacles.  It was fun.  The kids loved it.
The other morning Caitlyn and Jonah were laughing while they were watching videos together.  I loved hearing them laugh together.  It seems like they have been fighting a lot, so it was great to see them having fun together.
I took Hallee and Wyatt over to Tiff's to swim in the hot tub.  They loved it!
Hallee and Tessa stayed in for a couple of hours and they still weren't ready to get out.
When they did finally get out they wanted me to take pictures of them.
Cute girls!
Yesterday grandma came over to see the kids. Caitlyn was at Mel's, but the rest of us had fun playing games with her.  We love grandma!
Yesterday I decided to give myself a birthday gift and take the kids to get their hair cut instead of doing it myself.
When they rang me up I remembered why I do the haircuts myself!  They are sure handsome boys!

Hanging with the Carr's

Ben is on a long business trip and I know Katie hates when he is gone on Sunday so we invited Katie and the kids over for dinner.  The weather was perfect for an evening outside!
Keith grilled some chicken and we had a delicious dinner out on the deck.
Hallee and Kenzie had fun in the Jeep.  They had so much fun together.  It was so cute to listen to them play house.
The boys had fun together too.
After dinner we went over to the Parkway.  The weather was great, but the mosquitoes were out in full force, we got a lot of bites!
Boston had fun playing with Keith.  After the parkway we came home for dessert.  I love summer nights where we don't have to worry about getting up early the next day!
