Wyatt is so sweet, he is constantly giving me a hug and saying, "thanks for being my mom." It makes me so happy to see him doing so well. He was really struggling for a while and helping him get through the day was so overwhelming for me. I'm so grateful that he is doing so well right now and his anxieties and depression seem under control for now.
We have been loving these warm days! We have been going to the parkway on Fridays because Hallee and Wyatt get out early. One week Hallee went over to Amanda's so it was just me and Wyatt.
It was great to have some one-on-one time with him. He loves to talk and ask questions. I'm so glad because for so long it was so hard to get him to say anything, I really think the counseling helped him express himself instead of keeping things in. His favorite things to ask me are would you rather questions and he loves to talk about penguins. He is so smart and knows so many random facts. We got a letter in the mail saying that he was tested and should be in the gifted program next year. He would have to switch schools so he doesn't want to do it. I'm torn because I think it would be really good for him, but I know social things are hard for him too, so I don't want to push him into switching schools.
Caitlyn had a day off school during the ACT test. We found some family names the night before on family search and we went to the City Center temple to do baptisms. It was fun to do them with her and we got to be witnesses together. After that we went shopping. It was fun to spend the day with her.
We had a date night with the group for Katie's birthday. We went to Chili's for dinner and then to their house to play games. It was so nice to get out and have fun with no kids!
I took the girls to Amarie's dance recital a couple of weeks ago. She did amazing as usual. It was fun to sit with Hallee and see her eyes light up when she saw all of the costumes and dances.
We decided it was time for Hallee to get a new bed. She was sleeping on the daybed that I got when I was a teenager. It was literally falling apart. Caitlyn and Wyatt helped Keith put the bed together. It was a lot of work!
Hallee was so excited for her new bed. Hallee wanted a bunk bed. We were all happy when we found this bunk bed with storage underneath. I was excited to get Hallee's room organized, she has so much stuff!
The bed is great. Hallee loves it and it opened up a lot of space in her room. She was excited that she could fit her chair in her room. She has spent a lot of time playing in her room with all of the extra space.
It's been a while since I have taken a sleeping picture of her. She is so cute!
Caitlyn and Wyatt like to wrap Jackson up like a baby when he falls asleep.
Wyatt and Hallee were laughing so hard when they were playing a game together on the computer. I love the sound of my kids having fun together.
Hallee wanted to play bank robber the other night. Keith and I were the police and we had to try and catch her. She is so cute!

What a great blog! I’m so glad Wyatt is doing so well now and that he’s so sweet to you! It would be hard to decide what to do about the gifted program but I’m sure you’ll make the right decision. I love Hallee’s new bed and the sleeping picture!
So many great things in this blog! I’m sure that just makes your day to have Wyatt thank you for being his mom. So sweet. Hallee’s room looks great, and she looks so cute as a bank robber!
