Say Cheese

Hallee and I took advantage of the warm weather and went to see the goats on the parkway.  I love that the goat posed with Hallee in this picture.
Hallee had fun feeding leaves to the goats.
We stayed for a while because she was having so much fun.
It has been so warm, it doesn't feel like November.
On Friday Nov 6th Jonah flew out to Portland.  Gary and Julie invited us to Otter Crest with them, so Jonah decided to fly out early. He was so excited to go back to visit them and he was really happy about flying instead of driving.  It was good timing because he had money from his birthday and he got a great deal on a plane ticket.
Jonah had a great time.  He loves spending time with the Hams! They went bouldering one day, he loved that.
We missed Jonah, but I'm glad he had so much fun with his cousins.
Jonah loved doing an escape room with them.
The kids went to school Monday and then we left for Oregon.  A snow storm was coming in Monday night and Tuesday so we adjusted our plans and drove farther than we were planning on Monday.  We drove to Pendleton Oregon and stayed in a hotel there.  We were disappointed that the gym and the pool were closed, but the kids were excited about the free hot chocolate.
The drive is very long, but so pretty.  Oregon still had beautiful Fall colors.
Tuesday morning we ate breakfast and then left for Otter Crest.  It was nice to break the drive up into two days.  We didn't hit any snow, just some rain.
We got to Otter Crest around 2 PM.  We were all so excited to be there and be out of the car.  The grounds are so beautiful, there is beauty everywhere you look.
I went straight to the balcony when we got there to soak in that view!  It was rainy so I couldn't get a great picture, but I was so happy to see and hear the ocean!
Caitlyn and I went into Newport to shop for food.  Keith took the kids to the exercise room to burn off some energy.  Caitlyn led them in stretching exercises later.
After dinner Keith and I took Hallee and Wyatt down to the pool.  It was cold and a little rainy, but they really wanted to go.  We had the place to ourselves.
We spent our time in the warm tub because the pool water was a little cold.  Keith and I sat in the hot tub for a little while too.  Caitlyn was thrilled to have the place to herself while we were down at the pool.
It is so hard to get out of the pool and walk back to the unit because it is so cold!  I took stuff for Hallee so she could shower and get dressed before we went back.  The walk back really wasn't too bad, I think walking up all of the stairs helped warm me up!  Gary and Julie and the kids got there late Tuesday night.  We were so excited for our week with the Hams!
