In May I got an email from BYU about summer camps and it had EFY listed. I thought Caitlyn would love it, but I knew she would want someone to go with so I called Lori. Elena and Caitlyn both really wanted to go when they heard they could go together. We also booked it the next week for Cody and Jonah. I'm so glad my kids got this experience. I asked Caitlyn to blog about her EFY experience.
Elena and I got to our room and set everything up!
Then we put our EFY shirts on and got ready to say goodbye to our moms and to meet our company!
Lori and my mom helped us make our beds and set up our room. We took some selfies and gave them a hug and then they left.
We met our company and headed over to morning side together! We had 12 girls; me, Elena, Avery, Aliyah, Allison, Emilyn, Macady, Tenley, Madie, Sierra, Dantley and Josie. We also had 11 boys; Heath, Easton, Evan, Nathan, Tanner, Kaden, Banks, Ashton, Will, Dillian, and Grayson. And the best counselors ever, Lauren, and Richard (AKA Kevin). We all got along and it was so great to get to know them!
We were pretty busy all day so when we had free time, we loved going and hanging out at the creamery. Evan was the only boy who came with us girls the first time we went so of course we started calling him Sister Evie!
We had 4 classes each day Tuesday and Wednesday and learned about the "7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens"! I love taking notes and annotating my book!
This was Kevin our counselor, my friend Josie made him a balloon animal and named him Kevin as well! One of the other people helping with EfY called him Kevin and it stuck!
This was our other counselor, Lauren. She was so sweet, loving, caring, and acted like my mom for the week.
Wednesday was game day! I didn't participate because I had blisters all over my feet but I loved cheering my company on and doing the cheer with them.
After game night we came back to the dorms and had pizza!
Then after we ate pizza we had Oreos and I sat in a chair and told juicy boy stories. It felt so good to make people laugh and tell people about my life!
Thursday was amazing! It was all about the gospel and it strengthened my testimony so much! I loved feeling the spirit and gaining a stronger relationship with my Savior.
Friday was our last day together and it was so hard to say goodbye! This was after the dance and we all gathered in for a group hug! We came back to talk about what we learned over the week and ended by singing "God be With You Till We Meet Again" we were all in tears and heart broken we had to say good bye!
EFY was the best week of my life! Not only did I gain so many friends, but I gained a closer relationship with Christ and my Heavenly Parents. It truly changed my life! Learning about the gospel with amazing people who wanted to as well really brought the spirit into my life.

I love that you had Caitlyn write about EFY! It looked very amazing and very uplifting and I'm so glad that she had such a great experience and could do it with Elena!
I loved reading this too! I'm so glad Cait and Elena could have this experience. I'm sure everyone loved Cait there, she's so funny and sweet and just amazing.
