Birthday Boy

We drove home from Bear Lake on Wyatt's birthday.  We figured a Route 44 Dr. Pepper would be the best birthday present!
The best thing about Wyatt's birthday was Ammon came home with us from Bear Lake.
He wanted grilled chicken for dinner.
He was excited to open presents after dinner.
He was excited that he got the rest of the book series he wanted.
He was really excited with his certificate for a penguin experience! Next week we are going with the Barth's to feed penguins at the aquarium.
He loved his Star Wars coding set and couldn't wait to start using it. He loves coding.
We had root beer floats for dessert.
The boys stayed up late that night and watched Captain America.
Wyatt and Ammon have been working on the penguin diamond art set that Wyatt got.
On Tuesday Rockwell came over to celebrate Wyatt's birthday. Rockwell gave Wyatt a penguin blanket, he loves it.  Wyatt was excited that Ammon gave him some money.
Wyatt decided he wanted to go to Loew's with Rockwell and Ammon to celebrate his birthday.
We got there right when it opened and the boys almost had the place to themselves for the first hour.  They ended up jumping for two and a half hours.  I think they could have jumped longer, but they were hungry for lunch.
We stopped at McDonalds for lunch.  The boys were all so sweet and thanked me for everything.
After that the boys played at our house for a while.  We decided last minute to take them to see Space Jam that night.  I fed them a quick dinner and then Keith took the boys to the movie.  Last night Wyatt hugged me and thanked me for the best birthday ever!

Adventure Park

On Saturday afternoon we went to an adventure park nearby.  It was reasonably
priced so everyone got to do what they wanted.
These guys wanted to do the ropes course.  Kyle and Paige did it too.
They each got to do two levels.  Cody, Jacob and Ashley started on the top level and Jonah, Kyle, Paige and Rockwell started on the second level.  They both met on the third level and they all did that one.
I was proud of Jonah.  He is scared of heights and this was very high.  His legs were shaking so bad on this rope one.  He did it though!
Rockwell walked along like it was nothing, I was really surprised when he said he was scared while he was up there.
Caitlyn did the axe throwing.  She was the only one doing it so I walked down there with her.  She had fun and did great.
Jonah rocked the ropes course. They were up there doing the course for over and hour.
Hallee and Wyatt played miniature golf with grandma and grandpa and Gary and Julie.  It was out in the sun and Hallee got overheated.  She is not happy when she gets that hot, poor girl her cheeks were bright red.  Luckily it was comfortable in the shade so we were able to get her cooled down while she sat in the shade and drank some water.
The kids all had fun on this tube slide.
Caitlyn and Elena loved it and went on it over and over.
They got pulled up the hill on this conveyer belt.
They all liked that there was sprinklers on there so they could cool off a bit.
Here is Jonah on the zip line.  Cody and Ashley went on it too.
The kids all had fun racing each other down.
We ended up being there for a few hours before we went home for dinner.  Everyone had a great time.
We saw a lot of wildlife from our deck.  You can see the moose in the bottom of this picture.  We also saw deer and turkeys.
We saw the red moon and debated on whether or not Jesus was coming.  Hopefully it will be sometime soon!
The time went by so quickly.  I think we were all a little worried about the room and bathroom set up, but it ended up working out great.  Everyone is so kind and willing to sacrifice for others.  Thanks for a great trip and fun memories mom and dad.

Bear Lake

Friday morning we got up and got ready and headed over to Bear Lake.  We knew it would be crowded because of the holiday weekend, so we tried to get there first thing in the morning.
We are in a drought so the water is really low.  We were able to park right on the beach.  It was nice to have the van right there so we could just leave things in there.
The girls had a blast playing in the water.  I love the patterns of the sand underneath the water.
I was worried that the water was going to be freezing, especially since we have spent the last month in Arizona and Mexico, but it really wasn't bad.  It was cold for a minute, but you got used to it really quick.
I'm glad we remembered to throw in our sand toys because the boys had a blast playing in the sand.
I can't believe how grown up these boys are.
Elena and Lori stayed back at the house because Elena wasn't feeling great.  Mel stayed back as well because she dislocated her shoulder so she was being really careful.
All the teenagers and some of the adults had fun playing spike ball.
The adults had fun visiting while the kids played.
We sure have some amazing men in our family!  They are all so kind, generous and hard working.
These kids worked hard building a house and a swimming pool.  It was cute to see Kyle and Cody helping them.
The temperature was perfect, it was hot, but not too hot.  I would get in the water to cool down, but it was comfortable to be out of the water for the most part.
Keith threw the football to the boys and they had fun fighting each other to catch it.
Hallee loved playing in the water, but I told her she had to have someone with her.  I loved looking out and seeing her and Jonah walking out to play in the water together.
We stayed until late afternoon and then we were all ready to head back to the house.  It was such a fun day.
