15 Years Old

This handsome young man turns 15 today.  Every year I can't believe how fast time continues to go by.  Jonah has changed so much this year, he went from looking like a boy to looking and sounding like a man.  I still do a double take sometimes and wonder who the man is in my house.

We did a quick photo shoot in the canyon on Sunday.  He's always a good sport about letting me take his picture.

Jonah is such a great kid.  He is very social and loves to hang out with his friends.  He can talk to anyone and knows how to carry on a conversation.  I love that he enjoys people so much.

Jonah is hilarious.   He says the funniest things and he loves to laugh and tell jokes.  He is so fun to be around.

Jonah is a deep thinker.  He doesn't like to have deep conversations, but when he does you can tell it's something that he has put a lot of thought into.

Jonah is a hard worker.  He likes to work hard and play hard.  He is always good about getting his jobs done and out of the way so he can have fun.  He is always willing to help us with projects around the house and he takes care of the yards for us.

Jonah has the best smile and the best laugh!

Jonah is athletic and loves sports.  He has decided not to try out for the High School basketball team because he doesn't want  that to take over his life.  He just wants to play sports with his friends for fun. 

Jonah has been doing this lip biting thing for a while now.  He says it's sexy, Ha!

Jonah is a protector.  He takes good care of me and worries about me when I'm upset.  He took good care of grandma on their hike and he has real soft spot for Hallee.  He said he wants to join the army or be a police man or fireman when he grows up.  I can see him doing great in any of these jobs and they would fit his personality well.

Jonah is disciplined.  He sets goals and he sticks to them. He works hard to develop good habits.

He really is just a fantastic person.  I'm so proud of him and so blessed to be his mom!
