Usually old people are boring, but those old people were fun

Ron has been planning a Hawkins family reunion for a while now.  It was at the end of July here in Utah.  There were different activities each day.  I told my family they could just come to the first day, where we were having dinner up at South Fork, and I would go to the rest alone.  They were all happy with that.  After South Fork Wyatt asked me where we were going the next day and I told him just I was going.  He wanted to know why he wasn't going.  I told him that he told me he didn't want to go to anything when I was telling him about it and he said, "That's because usually old people are boring, but those old people were fun!" I thought that was quite the compliment from a 12-year-old.

Here is the group Thursday night at South Fork.  Wyatt and Rockwell were off playing and Hallee just didn't get in the picture.  When we asked her why she said, "I'm not a Hawkins, I'm a Loosli."  Ha!

I'm glad we finally made it to South Fork with Tiff and the kids.

Caitlyn and Jonah didn't make it to anything because Caitlyn had to work and Jonah didn't want to.  I've learned to pick my battles with my teenagers! Pam and Don went into Chick-Fil-A while Caitlyn was working and Caitlyn recognized Pam so she talked to her and then Don went over and said hi to Caitlyn too.  I was so happy that they got to see her.

Ron brought a big Jenga game and the kids had fun with that.  I think Ron was one of the old people that Wyatt thought was so fun.

It was fun to see my kids talk to my aunts and uncles and get to know them.  

It was fun to see the kids playing with my cousins kids.

Keith came up after work.  Shelley arranged for Costa Vida to be brought up to the canyon. It was so good and nice to have dinner taken care of.

I really enjoyed visiting with my cousins and aunts and uncles, we ended up staying for six hours.

Matt came into town for the reunion and stayed with us.  We all loved having him here. I always feel so good when I'm around Matt!
