Halloween 2022

I don't love Halloween, but my kids do so I try to make it fun for them.  Wyatt told me he wanted to be Napoleon Dynamite and Dallin was going to be Kip.  I drove fifteen minutes away to a store that said they had a costume in his size, but they didn't so I gave up.  I thought we had agreed on him being something else and he thought we were going to buy a wig and he would make the rest of the costume.  He told us the night before he needed the costume for school and I was grumpy about it.  Luckily I came around because his costume was amazing. He did the dance for us and everything!

When grandpa Hawkins died I got his glasses.  They ended up being perfect for Wyatt's costume.  They are prescription glasses, so he only wore them for pictures and the costume parade.

I pulled all of the costumes out that we had in Hallee's size and luckily she found one she was happy with. She was a princess prisoner. 

I told her to give me a tough guy face, ha! I love it.

Here is a flashback to seven years ago when Caitlyn wore the costume. 

Wyatt and Hallee had their costume parade at school on Friday instead of on Halloween.

It was Wyatt's first day back at school that week and he came home pretty wiped out.  He is still feeling congested and tired. 

They did the Halloween parade first thing in the morning and it was a little chilly. 

Trinity and Hallee looked so cute.

Dallin and Wyatt nailed their costumes, they looked so good!

He made me smile every time I saw him in that costume.

Trinity came home with Hallee that day and stayed until that night.  We had our Halloween dinner that night.  Jonah wasn't here, but he was fine with that.

Here is Jonah all ready for the Halloween dance that night.  He borrowed Wyatt's wig and added it to his costume.  He looked so good.

He chose a different costume to wear to school on Halloween.  He wore this costume when he was in kindergarten, he couldn't fit in the pants, but he squeezed in the shirt.  He said he got lots of fun comments at school.  

Caitlyn is always quoting Haley from Modern Family when she says, "check it, I'm a scary black cat." So she dressed up as a cat for work.

It was fun to see my older kids dress up too.

Hallee and I went over to Tiff's and went trick-or-treating with them. It was fun to have mom and dad with us too.

Hallee got a ton of candy!

Wyatt went trick-or-treating with Eddie and Dallin.

He went for a few hours and got so much candy!  I think everyone had a fun Halloween.
