Tulip Festival

Hallee went on a field trip to the tulip festival at Thanksgiving Point.  They needed lots of chaperones and Hallee wanted me to go so I volunteered. 

I'm so glad I went.  It was a fun field trip.  I only had three people in my group so it was easy to keep track of them.  Hallee and I had fun looking at everything together.

I had one of the boys in our group take some pictures of me and Hallee. They turned out cute.

The views were amazing.  Everything was beautiful.

Trinity wasn't in our group, but we walked around with her group so Trinity and Hallee could be together. 

I love that Hallee is happy to take all of the pictures I want to take.

We came here when Hallee was young and they had a garden with different statues of Christ.  They had a couple statues of Christ, but the rest were statues of people from the Book of Mormon.  

It was a warm day, it felt good in the shade, but it got pretty hot when we were in the sun.  Poor Hallee did not feel good after all that walking in the heat.  She is like her mama, she doesn't do well in the heat.  By the end of the field trip she was feeling nauseated. Poor girl, she gets anxious about feeling sick and that makes her feel worse.  She said, "I'm used to being nauseous, it's my thing."   I hate seeing my kids struggle with anxiety because I know how miserable it is.  Thankfully Hallee felt better after cooling off and eating lunch. 

Joey was one of the boys in my group.  He is a nice kid.  I was really impressed with Hallee's whole class, they are all really good kids.

I'm so glad Hallee still likes to hang out with me!

There was a big line of parasols, it looked really cool.

CJ was the other boy in our group.

The flowers were so pretty.

They have a big waterfall. The whole garden is just so peaceful and beautiful.

Trinity took some pictures of me and Hallee. I'm usually very critical of pictures of myself, but I love these.

It was a fun day with my girl!
