Entertaining the kids

I'm trying to find cheap ways to entertain the kids this summer.  Their ideas always seem to cost money.  They both really wanted to go bowling and it was pretty cheap, so we did that one day.
Hallee loved that she could do turns on the slippery floor.
Wyatt started off with two strikes!
I loved to watch Wyatt lean the direction he wanted his ball to go.
Hallee and I needed to get out of the house so we went on a picnic.
We went up to Nuns Park in Provo Canyon and sat by the river.
It was a little cool in the shade, but hot in the sun.  We brought games and had fun playing for a while.
After that we walked along the trail for a while.
The river is so high and so fast this year. I love the sound of rushing water.  Hallee and I both had a great time.
Keith brought Hallee home a fan from Hong Kong, she went and got all of her fans and put on a little show for us.
Wyatt and Hallee have been really into Legos lately.  They love when Keith builds with them.
Wyatt traded in some mini figures at the Lego store and was able to pick out some new mini figures. He had fun with Keith at the Lego store and then came home and made different scenes with his new mini figures.  My favorite one is the break dancing one.
Whenever I tell the kids they have to get off screens, they usually go in Wyatt's room to play Legos together.
Wyatt built himself a Lego watch.
Jonah has been working hard at football every day.  He gets up early every morning and goes to practice for a few hours.  He has been working with the kicking coach and feels like he is improving.  He went to football camp for a few days last week.  He really enjoyed that, but said it was exhausting.
The kids want Tessa and Rockwell to come over anytime they can.  The girls always have fun playing pretend and doing their hair and nails.  The boys ride scooters to 7-11 and ride along the river trail when I make them get off screens, otherwise they are happy to play video games together.
It was my birthday while Keith and Wyatt were at camp.  I had really bad cramps so I laid around all day.  Caitlyn and Hallee went and got me smoothies for lunch before Caitlyn went to work. Caitlyn and Hallee both got me lotions and body washes from Bath and Body Works.  They smell so good!
When Jonah got home from work he took Hallee and they went and got us Subway for dinner. It was nice to have dinner brought to me and eat with them.  Jonah surprised me with two lotions from Bath and Body Works.  He said he took some girls with him to help him pick out good scents.  I sure appreciated my kids being so thoughtful.
Trinity invited Hallee to the water park.  Hallee had so much fun.  She was a little worried about being scared of some of the water slides, but she said they weren't scary and she loved them. Mel and Amarie came over the day after my birthday and Mel bought me and Hallee dinner. That was so nice of her and I loved spending the evening with her. She brought Hallee these cute sunglasses.  Hallee was thrilled to wear them to the water park.
I have been working hard on our yard this summer.  I have kept the front yard weeded and looking nice.  Hallee and Wyatt have helped me.  It's crazy how fast weeds grow! I had a doctors appointment last Friday and they had an appointment for surgery on Wednesday.  I was shocked it was going to happen so fast, this whole process has moved so slow, so I wasn't expecting that. They said they had a cancelation and I could have it, so I took it. I won't be able to mow the lawn or work in the yard for a while, so I did it one last time before my surgery.  I'm proud of my hard work!
