Family Time

Matt and Lori went to Logan for a few days and then came back on Friday.  Everyone came over to our house and hung out on Friday.  It was so fun to visit and the cousins had fun hanging out.

Cody and Elena stayed at our house for the last part of their trip.  On Saturday morning we all went to the Jordan River Temple with Cody.  It was fun to have him drive up with us.  I love to talk to him, he is such a kind, wise young man. 

It was great to be in the temple with family. 

Cody is going to be a fantastic missionary.  He is so loving, empathetic, wise and in tune with the Spirit. I'm so grateful to be his aunt! 

After the temple everyone came over here again and we visited and got Costa Vida for dinner. It was so nice that everyone came here so I could rest and put ice on my incisions. I was pretty tired after the temple. 

On Saturday night Cailyn was feeling overwhelmed and emotional. I jokingly asked if she wanted grandma to twerk for her.  Mom said she didn't know how to twerk so Tiff showed her and she did it.  It cheered Caitlyn right up and we all agreed that grandma sure loves Caitlyn to do that for her.  We all got a good laugh, thanks mom!

Hallee was in heaven hanging out with Caitlyn and Elena on Sunday.  They made lemon bars and played games together.

And Hallee was thrilled that Elena painted her nails.

It was fun to have Cody and Elena here for our Come Follow Me on Sunday.  Jonah got a nap, but the rest of us had a good discussion. 

On Monday everyone came over again.  I did a grocery pick up that morning so I would have food for an easy dinner.  Everyone helped make the dinner and do the dishes, I sure appreciated that.

It was hard to say goodbye on Monday night.  It's sad that our kids aren't little anymore.  It's just Elena and Jonah left in High School now.  They are all growing up and moving on and I'm having a hard time with it.

These two used to be best buds when they were little. They had so much fun playing together when they were young.  Caitlyn loves to talk to Cody.  He is so easy to talk to and is a great listener.

Jonah and Cody have so much fun together.  Jonah is really going to miss him while he is on his mission.  They talk on the phone every day and Jonah said he likes to talk to Cody about stuff because Cody just gets him.  

Hallee loves Elena.  She always tells me that she loves to see her because she is always so nice to her.

We took a picture of Cody and the boys so we can see how much they have grown when he gets back from his mission. 

I'm so glad Matt and Lori came up.  We love spending time with them. It's getting more and more meaningful as these kids grow up and things keep changing.
