This summer has been kind of boring for me, Hallee and Wyatt. Caitlyn and Jonah are busy with work and football and Keith is busy with work and had his trip to Hong Kong, but the three of us are just home every day looking for things to do. Lori said we should come visit them and the three of us really liked that idea. Me, Hallee and Wyatt flew out there the week before school started. We were able to get really cheap flights from Provo to Mesa.
Hallee looked so cute on the airplane.
We flew in Saturday afternoon. Matt picked us up from the airport and we went straight to Sonic for drinks!
We got Cafe Rio for dinner and the kids were happy about that.
We were excited to swim. We have only swam a couple of times this summer.
We swam every day, sometimes twice a day. The pool felt so good. It was so hot outside, but it still felt refreshing.
Lori went out of her way to do fun things for the kids. One night we all made our own pizzas.
The kids thought that was so fun.
Hallee and I spent more time in the pool than Wyatt. He liked to swim for a little while and then go back inside. Hallee and I would stay out there for hours.
Our favorite thing was to get a drink from Sonic and then drink it out in the pool.
It's so relaxing to sit out in the pool. Matt and Lori would join us sometimes which we loved.
Matt was swamped with work, but he took time to play Monopoly with Wyatt every night. Wyatt's favorite thing is playing Monopoly with uncle Matt. Matt and I would go on drink runs when he needed a break from work.
Both of the kids loved when Maisy would sleep on them.
Elena would watch movies or shows with Hallee while she did her homework in the evening.
Hallee loves hanging out with Elena.
One morning Lori had pancake art ready for the kids.
The kids had a lot of fun with that.
Hallee made herself as a pancake, nailed it!
Of course she made a sloth.
The kids came up with some great ideas.
Wyatt made me a heart pancake, he is so sweet.
One night we all wanted to get out so we went to Freddy's for dinner. The kids were thrilled that I let them get whatever they wanted, even ice cream!
During dinner Elena and Hallee were talking about Beanie Boos so Elena pulled out all of her Beanie Boos when we got home. It was fun to see the kids go through them all.
We were there for Cody's birthday. I'm having a hard time believing that he is 19-years-old. He is such a great guy, we are sure going to miss him while he is on his mission.
Wyatt loves all of the attention Matt gives him.
Before we knew it the week was over and it was time to go home. It went by so quickly and we were all sad to leave.
Hallee got a nap on the plane. She was tired from all the late nights. I'm so glad we went. I wish it could have been all six of us, but things are changing whether I like it or not. Thanks for a great trip Matt and Lori, it was just what we needed!
