April Happenings

We invited grandma and grandpa over for dinner.  Hallee and I were excited to try a new recipe for a berry cake.  It was so good!
We loved having this time with grandma and grandpa.
Hallee loves when Trinity can come over after school.  They made matching bracelets.
We have enjoyed watching Jonah's Lacrosse games.  Spring weather is crazy, so some games are freezing and wet and some are warm and beautiful.  I feel so bad sitting under the umbrella while the boys are out there playing in the rain.
Keith isn't having much action at all with the job search.  It has been really hard on him.  The job market is really tough right now and every job has hundreds of people apply so even getting an interview is so hard. We know a few guys around Keith's age that are out of work and they all talk about how hard it is at their age to get companies to hire them.  Luckily Keith and I usually switch off with being stressed and hopeless and then the other one can be the positive one.  It is tough! We try to stay busy.  We go to the temple every week.  The tulips at the temple are so pretty!
We do a lot of yard work.  I don't know what our problem is, but every tree in our yard dies.  This is our only living one in the back and it seems to have grown into two trees, I have no idea how that happens. I do love the Spring blossoms though.  I love looking out our bedroom window and seeing the blossoms.
We also love to walk on the river trail.  Spring is such a boost to my mental health.  Being outside with the sights and smells of Spring with the sun on me is the best medicine to help me stay positive.
I'm proud of myself because I have stayed consistent in exercising every day this year.  Most days I get a lot of steps in.  This was probably a high for me though.
Hallee had her Spring choir concert. They sounded great!
Hallee loved having Trinity in choir this year.
I'm getting a little emotional about my baby finishing up elementary school.  All of these lasts are making me sad!
Wyatt has been drawing a lot.  This picture took him a long time and it looked so good!
Here is a close up of another one of his drawings.  He is amazing.
The mountain views at the High Schools around here are amazing!
Tiff and Paul and the boys game to Jonah's game at Timpanogos.  Wyatt came to watch with Rockwell.  Wyatt thought Lacrosse looked fun and said he wants to play it.
Tessa and Rockwell came over one Saturday.
Wyatt tried out for the ballroom team for next year and he made it.  He is excited about that.
Jonah coached the Junior girls in their powder puff game.  Yes, he brought headphones to look official on the sidelines, ha!
Julie and Lindy came into town for Lindy to have knee surgery.  I was amazed at how quickly Lindy was up and moving around.  We loved spending time with them.
Matt came into town for a few days at the same time.
Matt took us all out to lunch.  He is always so generous.  Everyone has been so generous with us and we appreciate it so much.
Matt and Mel came up to Provo and we loved visiting with them.
I went down to Salt lake in the evenings to visit.
Mom loved having everyone over.
I love spending time with my family.  That is another great boost for my mental health.
Ataiya came over to mom's and we all loved seeing Clara. She is just so cute!
Mom loves those great grandbabies.
And of course we fit in a visit to Leatherbee's.
Caitlyn moved back home!  She finished up her semester and came home at the end of April.  She was able to fit everything in her car.  Keith and I helped her unload and then she ran off to get her paperwork done to start working at Chick-Fil-A again.  She started working the next day.  I'm so grateful she loves work so much. We love having her home!
Grandpa was speaking in church the Sunday Caitlyn got home so we decided to go listen to him.  Wyatt wanted to come too.  The ward was very happy to have Wyatt there to help pass the sacrament, they only have a couple of young men. Dad did a great job on his talk.  He has always been a very good speaker with really thoughtful, powerful things to say.  The kids commented on how much they liked his talk.  We stayed for the second hour of church.  It was fun to visit with people from the ward.  That really was a great ward to grow up in! After church we went over to mom and dad's for a bit, it was nice to have that time with them.
One of my favorite things about having Caitlyn home is how the kids all gather in the evenings and talk and laugh together.  We have been staying up way too late, but these times are so fun and so precious, that it is worth losing some sleep.
Caitlyn has been going to the gym in Cedar City so she wanted to lift weights one night. It was so fun to do that with them.  My favorite thing is seeing my kids laugh together.
