Birthdays and Father's Day

Wyatt wanted to treat Keith to a soda for his birthday.  He ended up buying one for Hallee and I too.
We have some Costa Vida gift cards, so we took Keith to lunch for his birthday. Caitlyn was in Alaska and Jonah was at work, so it was just the four of us.  I had to start work that night so Hallee and Wyatt made sure Keith had a fun evening.
Tiff and Paul had us over for dinner the day after his birthday.  Dinner was so good and they had a cake for Keith.  That was so thoughtful of them.
We all loved going over for dinner.  The kids had fun riding their scooters to the park, even though it was crazy hot!
The boys enjoyed the hot tub.  Jonah came over too and we loved having him there.
For Father's Day I made Keith a really yummy potato soup and rice crispy treats for dessert.
Mom and dad came over for a bit. It was fun to visit with them.
Lindy came over too. She went to a farewell with Caitlyn that day and stayed over after.  Caitlyn has been going to church with Lindy this summer and she loves it.
We recreated this picture from Father's Day ten years ago.
It turned out pretty good.  These kids are blessed to have Keith as a father.  He loves them so much and gives them so much love, support and guidance.
Caitlyn got off work early a few days before my birthday so she made me this delicious strawberry shortcake.  It tasted as good as it looked! She was waiting up for me when I got home from work and it was a great to have something to eat because I'm always hungry when I get home.
I'm so glad that Caitlyn gave me the cake early because Kristin sent me donuts on my birthday and Lisa brought over all of these homemade treats.  She texted Keith and asked what my favorite things are and she made them all!  She said she has missed some birthdays so she did extra. We used to go to lunch for our birthdays when we were in young women's together.  They were all so good! It was so nice to have so many people reach out and remember me on my birthday.
Keith and I drove up to Bridal Veil Falls on my birthday.
We got a late start so it was really hot so we didn't stay too long.  We enjoyed walking along the trail for a bit.
The river is so high and fast right now.  I love the sound of rushing water.  After that we went to Ross to try and find some work clothes for me.  I interviewed for two jobs at UVU that week and I got the one I wanted. It is a part time office administration job in the finance office. I interviewed with two people, one would be my supervisor and one would be my boss and I really liked both of them. They seemed fine with the fact that I haven't worked for a long time and catered the interview to my situation.  I was a little worried when they asked for a situation and I brought up Zion's bank and how the loans came in on the fax machine, they lady laughed and looked at the guy (who is pretty young) and asked if he knew what that was.  Dena called me and offered me the job and said they both really liked me and I was their top candidate.  I'm nervous and hope I can pick it up quickly, but I think it will be a good fit.  I start July 8th and I'll work Mon-Fri 8AM-1PM.
Keith planned a barbecue for my birthday dinner.  It was so good! Wyatt and Keith helped our neighbor with a tree that blew over in his yard and he sent them home with 6lbs of really good ground beef.  Keith and Wyatt grilled up some hamburgers with that and it was so good! Food is so expensive right now, so getting that for free was such a blessing. It was the perfect end to a great birthday!
