Football Banquet

We had Jonah's football banquet a few weeks ago.   They honor all of the seniors.  They had the seniors sit in the front next to their poster.  The dinner was really good.
Coach Chambers had Jonah stand up and show everyone what they were giving the seniors.  Here he is showing off the money clip.
We all got a good laugh when he modeled the blanket for us.  Jonah is so fun and can always make people laugh.
Coach Chambers talked about each senior.  He was very complimentary of Jonah and his kicking and his work ethic.
He said that Jonah holds the record for the most PATs for Provo High in the last twenty years  That is pretty impressive, especially since he only played for two years.
They had a great season the last two years and won back to back region championships, so Jonah had lots of opportunities for PATs.
Jonah got an honorable mention for his region.  He has done great these last two years.  It was so fun to see him put in the hard work of teaching himself to kick and practicing non stop.  He would go to the field and kick until his leg couldn't kick anymore when he started out.
It's a lot of pressure to be the kicker.  Jonah handles the pressure so well.
We loved going to the games every Friday night.
It was great that the team always scored a lot of touch downs so we got to see him kick a lot each game.
I forgot how much I enjoy watching football until Jonah played. It's been fun to get into football again.
I'm so grateful that Jonah had such a great experience. He was lucky to have such a great coach who thinks about more than football. He genuinely cares about these boys and wants to help them be successful in life.  It's been a great ride!
