Family Time

We got pizza and watched a movie with dad on his birthday.  It was fun to spend the evening with him.
We called Gary and Matt for a bit. Dad liked that.
Dad told us that he got really sad and was missing mom a lot so he looked through her old treasure of truth book and scrapbooks.  He said he fell in love with her all over again remembering all the amazing things she has done.  He talked about her doing service as a teenager, which helped her be the Homecoming Queen.  He kept saying how smart she was and that he couldn't believe that she gave up her full ride scholarship at Utah State to follow him to BYU.  He talked about how amazing it was that she waited for him on his mission.  He talked about what a great wife and mother she is,  how she supported him in every calling, while also having busy callings herself.  He talked about how she was always learning new things.  She could make anything and if she didn't know how she would talk to people or check out books and figure it out.  He said he wrote down all the things he loved about her and went to visit her and looked her in the eye and told her all of those things.  He said they both cried.  He said he's not sure if she will remember it, but he's glad he got the chance to tell her.  It was so sad and so sweet.  My parents have always been such a good example of a loving marriage.  I was so blessed to grow up with that example!
I had mom sign a birthday card for dad.  She wrote, "With love love In the name of Jesus Christ amen. amen & amen.  Love Peggy."   I told her to write love Peggy, but she did the rest on her own.
We had a March Birthday party while Caitlyn was home for Spring Break.
EJ had drill that weekend, but he was so sweet and said we should do it when Caitlyn could come.
It was nice to have the family together.

Mom wasn't crying this time, so that was good. She can't really converse, but I think she enjoys seeing the family.
I got to hold Judah for a long time, it was so fun.  He slept on my shoulder!
I loved seeing his smiles when he woke up.  He's so cute!
I love seeing Zariyah and Clara! Mel is such a cute grandma.
Zariyah had fun opening her presents.
Mom is still declining quickly.  She's been less anxious, but unfortunately the side affects of the anxiety medication are weakening of muscles and unsteadiness.  She has fallen a few times and her neck is leaning to one side and causing her pain.  Poor mom, nothing is ever easy for her.  Me, Mel and Tiff went to visit her and she was on the floor. She had fallen off the bed and her head was stuck under the bed, it was heart breaking.  She can't tell us what happened, so we aren't totally sure what happened. They checked her over and she was okay. We took the box springs off her bed to make the bed lower.  She can't get in out and of bed on her own, especially with how high it is. This disease just keeps breaking all of our hearts over and over.  We all hate watching mom suffer, it's the worst. We just keep hoping and praying for comfort and peace for her.  It's so hard to watch dad too.  He is losing his best friend and companion of over 50 years, it's so hard for him.
Julie and the twins came into town so Ammon and Ashley could get their wisdom teeth out.
I love to visit with Julie.  I wish I would have had more time with her, but I'm glad we had a couple of nights to visit.
They came over here Tuesday night. I'm glad they got to see Jonah for a bit before he left for La Crosse.
Wyatt was excited to see Ammon
Hallee and Tessa painted their nails so cute.
It was fun to have the family here and be able to relax and visit.

That's a cute picture of Mom in the BYU sweatshirt. I sure hate alzheimer's though!
