Lacrosse

Jonah had a hard time deciding if he wanted to play Lacrosse or not.  He loves the game, but he also didn't know if he wanted to spend all of his time before he leaves at practice and games.  He decided to do it and got James and Bryant to play with him.
He enjoyed it at first, but about halfway through the season he decided he had enough. Their team lost most games pretty bad, so if Jonah was playing attack he hardly played because the ball was always on the other side of the field.  He was frustrated that instead of working on their game at practice the coach made the run for hours.
Jonah was playing great.  He had lots of great shots and a few goals.
Jonah always does great on defense.
I caught one of Jonah's goals on camera. You can see him getting ready to shoot on the far right of the picture.
Here is he shooting.
And here you can see the ball in the net. It was a great shot!
We had fun watching him while he played.  He played until the middle of April.
I had mixed feelings about him quitting. I understood where he was coming from, but I hate to see him quit a team sport during the season.
He knew I was stressed about it so he said, "Just think mom we can have some mother/son days before I leave."  Ha, can't argue with that.
Jonah loves Lacrosse, so it was a bummer to see the season end like this.
He was excited to have time to go to the gym again and lift with his friends.
Jonah really liked one of his coaches. He offered to do mission prep with Jonah.  Jonah loved it.  He went to his house every week and said he feels so much more prepared now.  He liked that coach Luke had him come ready to teach on a topic, Jonah said that was great practice for him.  Jonah invited his friends and had a pretty good group going with him each week.
This was Jonah's last game.  We were waiting for him with Sawyer and he came over and took Sawyer's sun glasses and then went and said goodbye to the team.  I've been watching Jonah play sports for so many years, I'm going to miss it!
