He was so excited to talk to Cody. It was fun to listen to them talk. Matt and Cody are going to Spain in a couple of weeks and they were hoping to go up to France for one day and visit Jonah. I didn't think it would work out when he went to St. Omer because that is northern France. Jonah asked the AP's if he could come into Paris for exchanges so he would be able to see Matt and Cody. They got back to him and said that was fine and Matt booked the tickets that night while we were on the phone with Jonah. I'm so excited for him! I'm so grateful that President and Sister Munns are so family oriented and encourage things like this. And I'm so grateful that Matt and Cody are fitting it into their trip!
We added Caitlyn to the call. Jonah gave us a tour of his new apartment. It looks really big and nice. I was worried about him all week because I knew it would be hard to leave Charleroi and go to a two-man apartment in a small town. He had a good attitude though and said things were going well. He said there is a nice member named Sister Pruvost who likes to have them over for meals. He said she can't cook, but she makes a mean microwave meal. She has a son that just turned 18 and she's excited that she can have the elders over now that he is 18.
Jonah was excited that they were going to Dunkirk that day for his P-Day.
They met up with the sister missionaries.
Jonah loved going to the beach and putting his feet in the ocean.
This is his new companion, Elder Haubrich. Jonah said he is really nice, but very quiet, so Jonah feels a little lonely sometimes.
I'm glad Jonah was still able to get a waffle, those were his favorite in Belgium.
Someone gave Jonah a croissant as big as his head.
Jonah said this library was cool. He liked that it had ladders.
Pretty rainbow.
Here they are at Sister Pruvost's for dinner.
I love when Jonah adds new pictures. I check all the time. It helps me so much through out the week to see pictures and know that he is doing okay.
Another meal with Sister Pruvost and her son Maximilian.
Jonah had an exchange in Lille. He did some finding with Elder Rich and some studying. Then they had district counsel.
Later that night the senior missionaries had an activity for all of their friends.
This is Theo, one of the friends that came. Jonah said he was so fun to talk to. He said he laughed at all of his jokes and Jonah loved it.
Elder Loosli, Theo and Elder Haubrich.
Jonah said he spent the evening talking and laughing with him and had the best time.
I'm so grateful for the members that take such good care of Jonah.
Jonah added this picture on Halloween.
He also added a video of him trying to scare his companion for a Halloween prank. We sure miss his fun personality around here.
Jonah and his companion made this yummy food for lunch. He was really proud of it.
This is Gaetan, they met him through a referral a couple of weeks ago and he came to church this week and loved it. Jonah said every testimony seemed like it was meant for him. His mom died recently and his wife left him, so he has been going through some hard times. Jonah said he asked them if they could have dinner together so they asked a member from the ward, Brother Masinski, if he could host all of them for dinner that night. During dinner Gaetan asked them what he needed to do to get baptized. So they set a baptism date for November 22. Jonah is excited to teach him and help him get ready to be baptized!
Jonah said brother Masinkski's house was so cozy, so he took a picture.
