9 Months

This little guy is 9 months old.  What a fun 9 months it has been.  At his check up today he was 19 lbs 13 ozs (40%) and 29 1/2 inches (87%).  He has been such a fun, sweet and easy going baby.  He is getting a little more difficult these days because he is always getting into things that he shouldn't and he is very determined.  He also loves to climb.  The other day he climbed out of his high chair and was laying on top of his tray.  He was also climbing out of the baby swing in the back yard.  I have to keep my eye on him. He also screams every morning until his bottle is in his mouth.
This is one of his favorite positions.  He does this all the time.
He still does the army crawl to get around.  Once in a while he will throw in his good old backwards scoot. He will get on his hands and knees and rock back and forth, but then he always drops down and does the army crawl.  This is my saving grace because he is slow enough that I can run out of the room and get back before he has crawled into too much trouble.
He has started pulling himself up in his crib.  I heard him whining in there today and went in to find him standing.  I think he was whining because he didn't know how he was going to get back down.
His pants were a little big the other day and he crawled right out of them trying to get Jonah's bear.  One of his teeth is finally barely poking through.  This poor kid has been teething for weeks now.  He seems a lot happier, so hopefully the worst part has passed.
Everyone gets pretty smitten with Wyatt.  He has a way of charming people.  When he smiles he lifts his eyebrows and his whole face lights up and no one can resist him.  It was so fun to watch him with my Grandma.  I'm so grateful that my kids get to know my Grandma.
We sure love this little guy.  I'm trying to enjoy every minute because those minutes are going by so fast!

Our Princess

Do you ever look at your kids and think, wow they are cute?  I do that a lot.  I have been thinking that about Caitlyn a lot lately.  She is looking so grown up and she is such a cute girl. Of course she had to strike a pose for the camera.
I'm still getting used to the fact that she is a kid now, not a baby, not a toddler, a six-year-old who goes to school.  That still seems weird to me.
She is adorable and her personality and fun sense of humor make her even cuter.

Easter

We had a fun Easter weekend. We had a busy Saturday, but we were able to fit in coloring some Easter eggs.  Jonah has been talking about finding Easter eggs for weeks now.
The kids had fun finding their Easter baskets Sunday morning.  It only took them a few minutes and a couple of hints to find them.
Wyatt had fun sucking on everything in his basket and scooting around to get some eggs.  He was really excited when he got one open.
Caitlyn and Jonah were so excited to find the eggs around the house.
They were pretty happy with their loot!
It is always hard to find the balance of having fun with the holiday and teaching the kids about the real meaning behind things.  We had a few lessons on Easter and Christ's Resurrection and the kids seemed to understand.  Caitlyn said in her prayer, "please help Wyatt to understand what Easter is really about, that it is about Jesus not the Easter bunny."
They looked so cute dressed up for church.
They all look so grown up here.
After church we headed to my mom's for some family time.  It was so fun to have my Grandma here with us this year. Yesterday Jonah said to her, "your husband is dead, you will see him again when Jesus comes." You can always count on Jonah to say exactly what is on his mind.
My parents had an Easter egg hunt for the kids.  They had fun and got loaded up with more loot. Jonah had us all laughing during dinner.  He was yelling from the kitchen that he didn't like potatoes, I told him I only gave him a few so just eat them.  Then he yelled, "mom, what do potatoes taste like?"  A few minutes later he yells, "hey mom, I like potatoes."  He is a funny kid.
They even had some Easter eggs for Wyatt and Rockwell.  It was cute to see them go after them. One of the eggs opened and Rockwell started cleaning it up and Wyatt started shoving the cheerios in his mouth. It was a great Easter weekend.  I love all the fun activities and time with family, but I am especially grateful that my Savior gave his life for me and that because he was resurrected I can be with my family forever.

Soccer

Today was Jonah's first soccer game.  I was relieved that it didn't get rained out. He looks so grown up in his uniform.
He did great.  I was a little surprised that he wasn't more aggressive.  I couldn't tell if he was distracted or just didn't want to get in with the mass of kids fighting over the ball.
He scored one goal and he was thrilled.  I think he wanted to hang out by the net so he could score all the goals.
I love this picture.  He is such a cute kid and I can't get over how fast he is growing up.
It was a lot of fun to watch him.  I think he was a little surprised to have all the kids chasing the ball all the time.  He said he had fun and he is looking forward to next week.

Grandma Betty

My Grandma came to visit this week.  We love to have Grandma here.  I was so excited for her to meet Wyatt.
Caitlyn and Jonah love "Grandma Betty."  Jonah told grandma that she should move closer to us because he doesn't like her living so far away.  Caitlyn said, "Grandma Betty sure looks pretty in blue."
It was hard work, but we got the boys to sit still long enough to snap one picture!
Some of the girls were able to go out to lunch on Friday.  It was so great to be out without kids and be able to just sit and visit.  We have had a great time spending time with Grandma and we are all excited that she will be here for Easter.
These boys are so cute.  At one point Rockwell tried to crawl off and Wyatt grabbed the back of his shirt.  I had to scream to get them both to look at me.  Rockwell laughed, but it didn't really phase Wyatt, I do that a lot to get his attention for pictures!

Children's Museum

We had a fun time at the Children's museum on Thursday with all of our cousins.  Last week we tried to go and they were closed so they gave us some free passes so we had enough to take everyone.  Thanks to Mel for sharing with everyone! Wyatt was asleep so he missed the picture with all of the cousins.
Caitlyn loved the grocery store.  She also loved the spin art.  Of course she had to make a few pictures to bring home.
The water table is always a big hit.
Caitlyn and Amarie had fun dressing up and they said they were going to do a play, but I don't think we ever saw it.  They just stood up there and looked cute!
Jonah always loves any chance to play in water.
Jonah had fun going around with Elijah.  He loves to play with his cousins.  I love how his voice drops when he talks to the older boys.
Jonah loved the rock wall this time.
Even Wyatt got to play a little. I love any chance to let him play with Rockwell.  They are both so cute.
He thought it was fun sitting in here.  I think he was glad to be doing anything besides sitting in the stroller!
While he was in the stroller he kept playing peek-a-boo.  It was so cute.  He would pull the rag over his face and when I said, "peek-a-boo", he would pull it down and smile.
It was so cute.  He thought it was so funny.
I love to see him do new things.  It was a fun day.

New Tricks

Wyatt finally pulled himself up the other day.  He likes to be standing, but doesn't seem too interested in pulling himself up.  He was pretty proud of himself when he did it.
I still can't get enough of that cute smile!
He has been pretty moody for the last couple of weeks.  This last week has been rough.  His bottom two teeth still haven't cut through.  His gums are really swollen and you can see them, but they are taking forever! He has been pretty fussy and unhappy this week.  Of course I don't take pictures of that so here is a cute one of him smiling.
Because Wyatt has been so easy going and happy I'm not quite sure what to do with him when he is upset.  We all get a little flustered.  The kids can't understand why he is crying.  Here is his other new trick.  He waves.  He won't wave goodbye, he will only wave if you say hi.  Grouchy or not, the kid is cute!

Off Track Again

This is our last time off track while Caitlyn is in Kindergarten.  I have always heard that time goes even faster when your kids are in school and I would have to agree.  This year has flown by.  The kids were so excited to have a "sleepover party" in Jonah's room.  We always put them to bed really early and they stay up and play for a hour or two and then finally go to sleep.
They always look so sweet when they are sleeping.  Jonah has that nice cut on his face from falling off a curb.  He literally went face first onto the street.  He jumped up and said he was fine and then burst into tears.  He had dirt and blood all over, I felt so bad for him.  I was surprised he didn't look worse.  He was only swollen for a couple of days.
Somehow Caitlyn always talks Jonah into giving her the top bunk.  Jonah pretty much gives Caitlyn whatever she wants.
We have had lots of fun while Caitlyn has been home, but this is the first time I have thought, wow this girl needs to go back to school!  We have enjoyed the crazy spring weather in Utah and have gone sledding, played at parks, gone swimming (indoors of course), gone to story time and lots of fun play dates with friends.
The kids have spent a ton of time playing outside.  I LOVE our backyard.  Caitlyn and Jonah will play out there together for hours. They love to go to parks, but they are just as happy to stay home and play in the back yard.
The kids love to play on the swing set, but they spend hours playing pretend and planting a garden.  Caitlyn has been practicing on her roller skates and did really well the other day.  I didn't have my camera so I will have to get a picture next time. I always ride my roller blades at the park while they play.  Caitlyn was so proud that she could push Wyatt in the stroller while she roller skated just like I do.
Jonah is counting down the days until his first soccer game on Saturday.  I can't wait to watch him play.
