Temple Square

Since Kyle was in town on Sunday we decided to go to Temple Square.  We haven't been down there for a while and the kids loved it.  They loved the visitors center where they could push buttons and watch little videos.
Of course the water is always a big hit.  Luckily Grandma was there because I never give my kids money to throw in the water.
I had a great plan for Wyatt to nap on the way the down town, but he didn't go for it, so I thought great he will nap while we walk around.  He didn't go for that either.  Luckily he napped on the way home.
Love these two.  They are so cute!
The kids loved being with Kyle.  He is such a fun kid.  I still can't believe he is a teenager.
I think Kyle had fun teasing Jonah.  He said he was going to sit on Jonah's lap and then hurried and got off, but I made him get back on for a picture.  He also threw Jonah's sandal in the water, but no worries he got it back out.
I took a picture like this of the kids a couple of years ago and put the words, "I'm trying to be like Jesus" on them.  They are hanging in the kid's room and Caitlyn said she wanted a new one so we waited our turn to take a picture.
I love going to Temple Square. There is such a great feeling there.
Caitlyn kept asking me to take her picture by different things.  She is such a cute girl.
Last weekend Kyle and E.J. watched the kids so Keith and I could go to the temple.  Wyatt was a stinker and didn't want to go to bed, but Caitlyn and Jonah loved it.  It was a little strange leaving my kids with the two boys I used to babysit.  They are great, I'm glad my kids have such awesome older cousins to look up to. Keith and I had fun playing games with them when we got home.
Kyle got to spend the night again last night after Wyatt's birthday party.  The kids were so excited.  Caitlyn had fun playing guitar hero with him.
Even Grandma enjoyed guitar hero!
Kyle and Jonah had fun playing other video games.  It has been fun having Kyle here.  We will miss him when he leaves.

Wyatt's Birthday

I love to take pictures of my kids sleeping.  They are just so sweet.  Here he is on his birthday.  While I was holding him and feeding him his bottle it was hard to imagine that just a year ago he fit perfect in my one arm.
We celebrated Wyatt's birthday with cake, ice cream and presents with grandparents.  He was a little annoyed that I kept trying to get a picture of him and his cake, but I wouldn't let him touch it.
He was trying so hard to reach it.
I gave Wyatt three naps yesterday to make sure he was extra happy for his party.  It worked great because he was in a great mood.  He crawled around in circles laughing and panting for a while before we finally got him to hold still long enough for the kids to open his presents.
Wyatt helped out a little bit, but for the most part Caitlyn and Jonah took care of opening his presents.
He did take time to eat some wrapping paper.
He likes his vacuum.  He chases me around anytime I vacuum so I'm hoping he will enjoy this one.  We just need to get him walking so he can really use it.  He is so close, he will take five or six steps, but still doesn't seem totally interested in it.
Here he is with all of his loot.  He has had fun chasing his zhu zhu pet around today.
He seemed to know what he was doing with the cake this time.  He picked at it a little at first.
Then he picked the whole thing up and shoved it in his mouth.
He decided that wasn't enough so he would lick the plate as well.  We had to put him straight in the bath when he was done.  It was such a fun day.  It really helped that he was so happy!  He is such a fun little boy.  It has been a great year.  Bring on the next year!

One year old

I know I keep saying this, but I can't believe Wyatt is one today.  This past year has gone by so fast. Wyatt has made the last year pretty easy because he has been such a good baby.  We have had our sleepless nights, crying, illness and tantrums just like everyone else, but overall he has made our lives pretty easy. At his one-year check up he was 31 1/2 inches long (92%) and 22 lbs 10 ozs (48%).
Wyatt loves sitting up in the car.  He is happier when he can look out the windows.
He loves to dance in the car.  I turn the music on and he starts waving his arms.  Caitlyn can always get him dancing.
Wyatt only has three teeth on the bottom.  His two top teeth have finally poked through and his bottom gums are swollen, so he has been very cranky this past week.  I wish teething didn't have to be so hard on them.  Wyatt loves to eat meat.  He loves chicken, hamburger and roast.  I'm not sure how he chews it with no teeth, but somehow he makes it work.
Wyatt loves to stand.  He is always pulling himself up on everything.  He took five or six steps yesterday.  He will let go of things and walk to Keith or walk back and forth between us.  If I try to show people how he can walk he will grunt and throw himself on the ground.  Little stinker!
Wyatt is always saying, "Da Da" and "Dad."  I tell him to say, "Mom" or "Ma Ma" and he will say, "Dad" and laugh.  He thinks he is so funny!  He has said "Ma Ma" a couple of times, but now he thinks it is a game not to say it.
Wyatt loves to play.  He loves it when we get on the ground and crawl after him.  He loves to play peek-a-boo.  He also loves to play with phones, remotes and anything else he isn't supposed to have.
He likes his freedom to roam around the house, but he still wants Mom and Dad to hold him a lot.  He loves to chase the vacuum and broom around.  When he is upset he will scream and throw himself back, he doesn't care if he hits his head as long as he knows that we know he is upset.  We have all loved watching Wyatt grow up this past year.  I'm so grateful that he came to our family.  I'm feel very blessed to be his Mom.

Last Day

Thursday we went to Hollywood Connection.  Jonah wanted to try the roller coaster and loved it.
He wanted to go on it over and over again.
Caitlyn on the other hand was very scared, but decided to try it anyway.  She went on it a couple of times.
Wyatt enjoyed the merry-go-round.
The kids had fun golfing and riding the rides all afternoon.
That night we ended with our usual tradition of Leatherby's before everyone headed home in the morning.
The kids are always so excited to get their own ice cream. Caitlyn finished hers off with no problem.  She is my little sweet lover.
Jonah on the other hand doesn't eat as many sweets.  He ended up taking home half of his.
Wyatt was all smiles when they brought out Keith's ice cream. He thought for sure that was his.
The kids are excited that Kyle is staying an extra week.  I can't believe this is little Kyle that I used to babysit all the time and now he can babysit my kids.
Jonah loves to be busy all the time, so he is excited that the fun can continue next week.  His question every day is, "what are we doing tomorrow? and next tomorrow? and the third tomorrow?"
Jonah had a great time playing with Jacob this year.  It is great for him to have all of these boys around to play with.  We always hate to say goodbye to everyone, but I think everyone is ready for some down time and a little rest after our fun week!

More Fun

On Tuesday Gary and Julie went to visit Julie's family so we had our own family day.  We went to Chuck E Cheese.  We all had fun playing games.
Wyatt liked the merry-go-round.
Caitlyn and Jonah liked the monster truck, but Wyatt wasn't so sure.  After Chuck E Cheese we went and got some dinner and then headed home to play Just Dance on the wii.  It was a nice family day.
On Wednesday we went to Classic.  The kids had a great time in the bounce houses. Caitlyn was a little nervous about some of the slides, but ended up trying them all.
Jonah was in heaven.  A place where Jonah can run, jump and bounce is exactly what he needs for that endless energy of his.
Jonah was really excited that he could ride his scooter on the roller rink.  He loves his scooter and was pretty excited about riding it indoors.
Caitlyn wanted to roller skate with Grandma.  I think she found out that it is a lot harder than it looks.
Next we headed outside for lunch and the water park.  Jonah liked the kiddie pool because it was so warm.  Jonah loves that all his older cousins are so nice to him.  He had fun playing with all of the boys.
Caitlyn had a good time in the kiddie pool.
Wyatt didn't love it.  He had fun for a few minutes and then he was done.  He is cutting some more teeth and has been a little fussy this week.
We all loved the water slides.  Jonah liked going down on his own but he liked going with me or Keith on a mat because we went so fast.
You seriously fly down on those mats.  I wouldn't do it with Jonah after we almost lost our mat and I hit my head.  Jonah on the other hand was ready to go again.  Luckily Keith took him down a few times.
Keith was great this week.  He took the week off and was great to let me go do things while he took Wyatt home for naps.  He has a lot of homework right now so it ended up working out great.  I really enjoyed going to my mom's on my own at night to visit.  It is so hard to visit with anyone with so many kids running around.  I actually got to visit and play games without being interrupted, it was great.
I even took Wyatt down the water slide.  He didn't really show much emotion one way or the other.  I guess I should just be glad he wasn't screaming!  My main focus was to not let his head go under water.  Good news, we both stayed up!  We all had a fun day and the kids slept great that night!
