What a week

We have had a very busy, but very fun week! The kids loved spending time with friends and cousins and we have done a lot of that this week.
We started on Monday with a barbecue at my parents.  Caitlyn decided she wanted to try a sparkler.  It took her a minute to actually hold it in her hand, but she finally did and she was so proud.  Jonah on the other hand decided to touch the top of his sparkler and got burned.  I don't know what to do with that boy sometimes, he does the craziest things.  Today I asked him why he does things he knows he shouldn't and he said, "my head tells me to and makes me."  I think he did learn his lesson about touching sparklers!
Tuesday we went to the movie and the park with cousins. Wednesday we had friends over for lunch and swimming.  Thursday we went to Wheeler Farm with all of our cousins in the morning and the older two had a birthday party that afternoon.
Wyatt wasn't so sure about all the ducks surrounding his stroller while Caitlyn and Jonah were feeding them.
Grandma bought all the kids food to feed the goats.  Caitlyn wanted to feed the baby goat so bad.  She would put it right by his mouth and then hurry and pull it away because she would get nervous.  This went on for a few minutes and let me just tell you that patience is not my strong point.  Finally the goats gave up and wouldn't take it from her and she used that as a great excuse to just throw it in their cage and move on.  She was very brave about petting the animals.
Jonah had fun petting all of the animals.  The only time he got nervous was when all the ducks started chasing him for his bread.  That was a funny sight to see Jonah take off running.
Wyatt finally gave in and fell asleep.  It is such a relief when he will nap when we are out and about. Friday we went swimming with some friends and cousins.  Keith stayed home while Wyatt napped so I was able to just take Caitlyn and Jonah.  They had a great time going down the water slide.
Yesterday the kids went did a building project at Lowe's.  They love to the building projects and Keith is always great to take them and be patient while he helps them build.  Later Jonah and Keith went and saw Cars 2.  Jonah has been so excited to go to the movie with Dad.  Caitlyn and I usually go see the princess movies so he has been counting down for this.
Caitlyn and I went on a little date before they left for the movie.  We went shopping and to get an ice cream.  Caitlyn was really on one yesterday.  She was trying on my sweater and calling herself, Doctor Professor.  She is a funny girl.  It was fun to have Lori and the kids join in on our fun yesterday.  The kids had a blast and so did I.
Keith and I even went on a date last night.  Keith bought me Real tickets for my birthday.  We had a great time watching the game, minus the loud fans next to us.  My parents were great and came over and watched the kids so they could put them to bed.  It was really nice to get out.  Keith and I don't go out very much.  Our dates usually consist of games or movies after the kids are in bed.  That works for us, neither one of us is dying to go out all of the time.  It is nice to get out every once in a while though and the soccer game was a nice night out for both of us.
