Valentines Day

I am a total slacker when it comes to making cookies with my kids.  Especially sugar cookies, I love them, but I hate all the work.  I decided I wanted to make some with Caitlyn and Jonah for Valentines Day this year.  We had fun and they sure tasted good.  I thought I better take a picture because it doesn't happen very often.

These were waiting for me when I woke up on Valentines Day.  The flowers were so pretty, but I was really excited about the mambas.  I have been craving them like crazy and they are hard to find.  Keith always goes out of his way to make me feel special. I really appreciate that about him.  Since he is gone at night we had a lunch date.  He brought home some take out after school.  Wyatt was down for a nap and Jonah was busy playing so we had a nice peaceful lunch and even got to play a few games. 

I love any excuse to give my kids a present.  I had a few things I have been waiting to give them, but I was just waiting for an excuse.  Caitlyn was really excited with her rub art set.  I actually had these all wrapped for Christmas and forgot about them. 

Luckily she got ready quickly that morning so she had some time to color before school.

That morning they had an activity at Caitlyn's school.  I asked Caitlyn who she wanted to take her and she said, "I don't want to hurt your feelings, but I want Dad to take me."  I explained to her that didn't hurt my feelings at all.  She doesn't get to see Keith very much so I'm glad they could do this together.  Not to mention, I didn't have to be up and ready to go before 8 AM!  They had fun reading books and eating breakfast at school. 

We gave Jonah some bendaroos.  I have always wanted to buy these when I see the commercials and I found a good deal on them so I was excited for the kids to have them.  They have both enjoyed them.

Jonah wanted me to help make Keith out of them so we could surprise him when he got home from Caitlyn's school.  It was a hit. Both the kids had fun parties at school and got overloaded with treats.

Wyatt had fun opening his present.  I think this is the first time we haven't had to force him to open a present.  I caught him opening a present I had wrapped for my niece the other day.  I wish he would have enjoyed it that much on Christmas.

Wyatt was happy with his book.  Keith was able to come home and eat dinner with us.  It was a fun day.  I love any excuse for presents and eating out!
