Christmas Time

Every year for family home evening we act out the nativity.  Caitlyn and Jonah were Mary and Joseph and Hallee was baby Jesus.  Wyatt was a Shepard.  I love acting out the nativity, it always brings a special spirit.
I also love church the Sunday before Christmas.  It's always filled with Christmas songs and the real Christmas Spirit.
Hallee was able to fit into Caitlyn's first Christmas dress.  Wyatt kept saying, "Hallee is Santa Claus."  Hallee laughed and smiled for the couple behind us all through Sacrament meeting.  I thanked her for entertaining Hallee and her husband said, "thank you for entertaining her!"
We have yucky colds going around our house, so I had to bring Wyatt home after Sacrament meeting.  Of course the week he is begging to go to nursery.  He actually snuck off and ran into the nursery room.  I had to go get him and tell him we had to leave.  Poor kid, but I did not want to give the other kids a cold for Christmas! His teachers are always so sweet and loaded him up with gifts and treats.
Our Christmas season has been busy like everyone else and sometimes it is hard to stop and focus on what is most important.  I love the Sunday before Christmas for this reason.  We spend the whole day focusing on Christ.  We write down what gifts we want to give to Jesus this year and wrap them up and put it under the tree.  I hope my kids know that words can't express how grateful I am for my Savior.  I am so grateful for his sacrafice and the hope and peace that His gift brings into my life.
