Jonah is finished with flag football. It only lasts for four weeks, but he had two games and a practice every week. Jonah loved it. He improved a lot and was really on fire for his last two games.
Here he is getting one of his touchdowns.
He really came out of his shell on defense. He was doing a great job of pulling flags and getting in on every play.
He also did a really good job on blocking. The coach on the other team was crazy. He was yelling at his boys through the whole game! The other team also tackled them quite a big. The referee had to give them a few penalties. It was crazy, these boys just want to have fun, they don't need to be yelled at through the whole game. One of the teams kept pushing Jonah. Whenever he pulled a flag he would hand it back to the boy he took it from and three times they shoved him. I was proud of Jonah for just walking off and letting it go. I wanted to go out there and push them back!
Here is Jonah's excited face after he scored a touchdown.
For the most part all of the boys and teams we played were great sports and it was a lot of fun. I was so happy with Jonah's coaches. They made it fun and they taught him a lot. They always made him feel like he did a good job, but they weren't afraid to push him either.
Jonah was so excited to get a trophy. He usually gets medals, so the trophy was very exciting. It was a great first season!
