On Monday night they had a tree lighting with Santa Claus at the fitness center. It sounded like fun so we went. We couldn't have timed it more perfect if we tried. We got there a couple of minutes late so they had just lit the tree and then everyone goes on a little walk with Santa. We decided to skip the walk and get the kids their free hot chocolate and cookies. After that we went in and got in line to see Santa. We were close to the front of the line and Santa came in right behind us. After that the line was huge and we would have been waiting forever!
I love this picture! Wyatt has been so excited about Santa, but he is a shy kid so I didn't know what was going to happen that night. He was scared and didn't want to see him. Hallee was screaming and Caitlyn and Jonah didn't know what to do.
I love how Hallee is looking at Santa and screaming in this one. What is it about Santa that scares kids so much?
Caitlyn and Jonah were excited to see Santa and he promised to bring them something special! He gave them each a candy cane.
Santa asked Wyatt if he wanted a candy cane. Caitlyn was shocked that Santa knew his name. I think she is questioning Santa this year and that really helped her believe. Santa kept pulling the candy cane back until Wyatt was next to him and he told him to smile for a picture. I can't believe he got Wyatt to stand by him and smile. Santa is magic! After that Wyatt said Santa was nice. When we got in the car Wyatt said, "Is there two Santas? Why does that Santa have glasses?" Then he asked, "when is Santa going to die?" Wyatt always says that he won't be afraid of the neighbor's dog when the dog dies so maybe he thinks that scary things won't be scary when they die. Funny boy. After Santa we left because it was so crowded and I had my pictures!
I had to put this cute picture of Hallee in her jeggings. They are a Christmas present from Matt and Lori, but I couldn't wait! It is a good thing she is so cute because she can sure be a handful. Yesterday she was on one. All of my kids were, it was one of those days that you just want to get in bed and hide. Jonah started off by smacking Caitlyn in the face to wake her up in the morning. After that Jonah spent the entire morning bugging Caitlyn and Wyatt until they were both screaming. At one point Wyatt said, "if you don't be nice to my sister then I will spank your little bum." It was cute that he stuck up for Caitlyn. After I got the kids to school Hallee and Wyatt went into Hallee's room and emptied her whole dresser. While I was putting her clothes away Wyatt took a chair over to the sink and filled up a cup with water and gave it to Hallee. After she dumped it everywhere he tried to sweep up the water. After cleaning up, grocery shopping and shoveling snow I decided it was a good day for Wyatt to watch TV while Hallee napped. The good news is Jonah shoveled the back yard for his punishment. It took him over and hour and he was so tired and cold, but he didn't bug anyone this morning! Last night Keith had Young Men's. While he was gone I was helping the kids with their homework. Hallee was on one and kept grabbing Caitlyn and Jonah's homework out of their hands. After that she took Wyatt's snack until he cried and then just laid on top of Wyatt until he was screaming. She had a smile on her face the whole time. I don't know what I am going to do with that girl. Some days you just can't wait until bed time!

The Santa pictures and story are so cute. I'm glad that Wyatt ended up smiling with Santa and that Santa knew his name and helped Caitlyn believe. I hope today was a much better day! Those other days are tough.
Holy cow. That day was a lot worse than you made it sound through text. How much Dr Pepper did you drink that day? :)
