Caitlyn has gone on a bunch of field trips this year. She gets to go with the 3rd graders and the 4th graders since she is in the split class. I haven't been able to go on any of them yet, so I was glad I got to go today. We went up to This is the Place park. It was a really fun field trip. It is so much less stressful with the older kids. I drove myself, which eliminated my bus headache, so it was a really good field trip!
The kids liked pulling the handcarts.
It was really hot so I was glad there was a lot of shade.
I am so grateful to Mel for coming and watching Hallee and Wyatt all day. The kids had a blast with her and Caitlyn was so happy to have me there with her. She has been extra emotional and clingy lately. I think she is tired of school and ready to be home.
The train ride was fun.
After we went to liberty park for a picnic. I had fun sitting with Caitlyn's friends and talking with them.
Caitlyn played for a minute and then just stayed with me the rest of the time. I am so glad I got this time with her today, I didn't realize how bad Caitlyn needed it.
