Yesterday was the last day of school. Caitlyn and Jonah were so excited. I remember the excitement I felt every year on the last day of school. We got some pizza and went to the park last night to celebrate.
Caitlyn and Jonah both did great on their report cards. This was the first time Jonah has gotten some 4's instead of all 5's. I took the opportunity to tell him that when we goof off in class our grades suffer. He seemed to get the message. It seems like he has been listening more lately. Today I heard him say, "Caitlyn, fair doesn't mean the same, mom taught me a very important lesson about that!"
Wyatt is happy to have the kids home for the summer. I think he will miss our routine a little, but he will enjoy the summer activities.
Caitlyn's teachers sent her home with a DVD of pictures and videos from the year. I got a little emotional watching it. I'm a little sad to say goodbye to her teachers after two years. I think she is ready for a change, but I really like her teachers. Caitlyn was sad to say goodbye to them too. It has been a great year. We were at the park where Caitlyn had her pre-school picnic which really doesn't seem that long ago. I can't believe she will be in 4th grade!
I have to add this picture of Hallee. Her favorite thing to do lately is shop. She loads anything she can find in her stroller and shopping cart and says, "mommy shop!" It takes forever to put everything away at the end of the day, but she sure has fun.
