Track

Jonah was excited to do track again this year.  He really enjoys it and he does great.  Caitlyn started out in it, but wasn't really excited about it and ended up crying and begging to quit.  She doesn't love running, so I don't really know why she signed up.  We ended up being able to get her out of it and get our money back. 

We had Jonah's first track meet the day after we got home from Arizona.  Jonah did great!  He ran the 100M, 200M and 400M.  He took first in his heat in both the 100M and the 400M and 3rd in the 200M.  We are still waiting for the results to see how he did against all of the other heats.  The track meets are hot and long, but I enjoy them.  I love watching Jonah race.  He really is fast.

Mel's kids were in the first track meet with us so the all of the cousins and grandma were there watching.  Jonah loved that!  The kids all had fun playing during the meet.  Hallee and Wyatt did their own races!

Ataiya and Alexys love when Hallee will play with them. They had fun taking her for walks.

Last week Jonah had another track meet.  It was up at East and Mel had warned me that it would be really long and there really isn't a good place to sit so I just took him and left everyone else home.  It was so hot!  Poor Jonah had to sit out in the sun for 30 minutes waiting to run the 50M.  He ran the 50M, 100M and the 400M.  He took first in his heat for the 50M and the 100M.  After that we went up to the bleachers and sat in the shade while we waited for his last race.  His 400M was a little rough.  I think he took 5th in his heat, you could tell he was so hot and tired.  He is having a lot of fun with it and we are having fun watching him.
