9-years-old

I can't believe this handsome guy is already 9-years-old.  It is so hard to put Jonah into words.  He is such a great kid and I genuinely enjoy spending time with him.  He is so funny and loves to make people laugh.

He loves to pull crazy faces.  Jonah was the sweetest, happiest baby.  He was always content and easy going.  He is still pretty easy going, but he loves to be active and busy. 

He loves sports.  He is very athletic and does well at every sport he plays.  I'm glad he loves sports because I love to watch him play.  It is so fun to see him improve and see him love every minute of it.

Learning has always come easy for Jonah.  He was reading at a young age and he loves to do math in his head.  He has a photographic memory so he is a great speller as well, he is always in his own spelling group at school.  Last year his teacher told him that she didn't know what to do with him when he passed off his division facts.   Jonah is very disciplined and will do his homework on his own every morning.  I love that about him! He is doing well in French.  I'm still amazed that he can carry on conversations in French. 

Jonah is a great brother.  He likes to tease and he can be grumpy with his brother and sisters sometimes, but he loves them and he is always looking out for them.  He will share everything he has with them.

Jonah loves to show everyone how strong he is.  He is a tough kid!  I love when he shows his sensitive side.  He is very protective of me and he hates to see me upset.

 He never asks why, he only asks why not?  Sometimes I am just baffled by the things he does.  I used to ask him what he was thinking until I realized that he doesn't put any thought into what he does, he just does it. 

Jonah is so good with little kids.  He loves to play with younger kids and make them laugh.  He is so great, all of the younger kids like to play with Jonah.

I love that smirk that Jonah has when he smiles.  His little smirk makes it look like he is lying or holding something back, but he just can't help but smile.

I can't imagine our life without Jonah.  He can push my buttons and drive me crazy, but this kid is awesome!  I'm so excited to see what he accomplishes in his life.  He has got all the ingredients to go far in life!
