Low Tide

On Saturday we started out by going down to the beach to explore during low tide.  The kids love taking the tram down.
The day started out overcast and foggy
I love the big smiles on the kids' faces.  Everyone was all smiles every time we were on the beach.
I have a lot of pictures of Hallee and Wyatt because Caitlyn and Jonah were up ahead with their cousins.
We had fun looking for animals in the tide pools.
We found some cool waterfalls.
Wyatt and Hallee got a little nervous climbing over all of the rocks, but they did awesome.  They both really pushed themselves this trip, I'm proud of them.
I had to get a family picture in front of the waterfall.
It has been so nice to have this time with Keith.  It is great to be away from the stress of life and be able to just have fun together.
The kids!  Caleb stayed back and did homework, we missed having him with us.
After our exploring we went over and played on the beach for a while.  The boys had fun racing sticks in the little river.
Pretty girls!
I love these two boys.  They are both so sweet, I love that about them.
We had fun watching the kids play while we visited.  It was so nice to have so much time to visit with Gary and Julie.
Handsome!
Caitlyn and Jacob were the only ones that got all the way in the ocean.
They were soaked, but they sure had fun!
The kids were anxious to go swimming.  Gary and Keith took all the kids for a swim.  Julie and I told them that we would meet them down at the pool.  We started talking and completely lost track of time, by the time we got down there everyone was finished and poor Gary and Keith were waiting for the towels we brought down.  Whoops, it sure was nice to visit with Julie though!
Wyatt was dying to play Skip-Bo and Caleb was nice enough to play with him.  Lindy and I went to Walmart that night, it was fun to have some one-on-one time with her.  Gary and Julie were so nice and took care of all the meals while we were there, it was so nice of them and it was all so good! That night the kids watched a movie while we stayed up laughing and talking.  The weather cooperated all day and it was a perfect day.

Reunited!

We were so excited to join Gary and Julie at Otter Crest for Memorial Day weekend.  We drove down here on Friday.  We were so happy to be out of the car after a very long day of driving!  Gary and Julie had dinner ready for us on the beach when we got here.
Jacob and Jonah were so excited to see each other.
We love roasting hot dogs on the beach!
The kids were so excited to be out of the car and be able to play!
Beautiful girl!  Hallee was shy at first, but it didn't take long for her to come out of her shell.
We also love to make s'mores on the beach!  These four boys had so much fun together. There was a lot of rough housing and a lot of laughing.
It has been so nice to have Keith with us without work getting in the way!
I was so excited to see Lindy.  We had fun hanging out together and talking and laughing a lot! She is the best!
Caitlyn and Ashley had a lot of fun together.
I was so happy to see Julie.  I have missed her so much.  I got to spend so much time with them last summer and it has been hard not to see them since then.  I sure hit the jackpot with sisters-in-law!
All of my kids love Uncle Gary.  I loved having time to talk to Gary and Julie!
The sunset was gorgeous that night.  It was the perfect start to our vacation.

Last week of school

I took Wyatt and Hallee swimming one afternoon this week.  We had fun playing together in the pool.
The last week of school was filled with fun activities for the kids.  The 4th graders had kids business day.  They all brought things to sell and they got to buy things with their class money.  Jonah was excited to sell snicker doodle bars and brownies.  He came home with a huge bag of treats that he bought.
Caitlyn was excited about her awards.
They both got great report cards.  I'm proud of how hard they have worked this year.
We love how the deck looks.  We picked a color that matched the floor.
This part took forever!  I love to see the finished product after hard work.  I'm glad this is done!

Field Day

Today I got to help with Kindergarten Field Day.  They had a lot of different activities for the kids.  One of the activities was dipping sponges into a bucket of water and racing to a cup to wring them out.  Wyatt slipped knocked the bucket over and spilled it on his shirt.  It was pretty funny.  I was proud of him for laughing it off and getting right back up and finishing his race.
Drawing with chalk was a big hit.
Hallee participated in some of the activities.  She loved drawing with chalk.
Wyatt did a great job on the tug of war.
The parachute was another favorite.
Hallee loved playing with the parachute. They both had a lot of fun.
It is a little sad that today is Wyatt's last day of Kindergarten.  My boy is growing up!  His teacher got teary while she said goodbye to them.  We are excited for summer!

Field Trippin

Today I went with Wyatt on his field trip.  We went to the Bean Museum at BYU. This was the group I was in charge of.  We walked around and looked at things for a while.  I had two kids that had a hard time staying with us, so it was a little crazy!
I loved spending the day with my boy!
Hallee was excited to come on the field trip with us.
After we looked around for a while we went to an animal show.  The kids liked that.  At the end of it they got to pet a snake. Wyatt was excited to touch the snake.
Hallee wasn't so sure about touching the snake, but she decided to at the last minute.
We love Mrs. Cox!  She is an amazing teacher.  She is so good with the kids and she really cares about each one of them.  Wyatt loves Mrs. Cox, he will miss her! She has been so good for Wyatt's confidence, she has really helped him strive to do his best and feel good about himself.  I'm so grateful for good teachers!
We went in and saw the Mr. Daniels, the principal, before the field trip.  He gave Wyatt his certificate for being Student of the year.  They pick one boy and one girl from each grade.  He also showed Wyatt the plaque that Wyatt's name is on that will hang in the school.  Wyatt decided that he would rather get to Oregon on Friday instead of going to the awards assembly that morning, so Mr. Daniels said we could stop by to pick up his certificate. We are proud of Wyatt's hard work this year!
Wyatt was really excited with his light up magnify glass that Mr. Daniels gave him.  We sure love Lakeview.   They do a great job of teaching the kids to be good people as well as good students.
