Keith gave me a coupon for a new phone for Mother's Day. I wasn't going to get one, but my phone has been acting up a lot, especially with texts. When I saw the IPhone SE for $200 at Cricket I decided to go for it. I only had my IPhone 5 for about a month last year before I dropped it in the lake, but I wasn't a huge fan. The SE has a better camera, better battery and it has 32 gig, so it solved all of the problems that I had with the 5. I love my new phone, the camera is great.
Right after we got my phone we met my mom and my sisters at Café Rio for my birthday lunch! Our June is shaping up to be very busy, so we did it early. We had fun taking pictures to test out my phone.
On Saturday Caitlyn was at Mel's and Jonah had a scout activity so we took the little two and went to Lowes to buy paint for our deck and swing set. Hallee and Wyatt had fun pretending to blow away!
We spent the whole day Saturday painting the deck. Tiff was so nice and came over and helped us paint that night. We painted until it was too dark to see anymore. We were so grateful for Tiff's help and I loved visiting with her while we painted. The deck took forever! I worked on it all day yesterday and Keith took over when he got home from work and he finally finished it late last night. It looks great! The kids all had fun helping. Hallee kept saying, "I may be small, but I'm sure good at painting."
They learned about different physical disabilities at Jonah's scout activity. I complain about scouts a lot, but they teach the boys a lot of good things. They had a few guest speakers and Jonah learned a lot and had fun.
Jonah had his friends over all day Saturday while we painted. They helped us paint for a while, but they had more fun playing. They stayed for dinner and the Golden State game. The boys sure love having so many friends in the neighborhood.
Wyatt gave us a family night lesson on Sunday. He has been working on it for a long time. I'm so impressed with how well he prepares and thinks everything through. He had sharpened pencils ready for us along with note cards that we needed to write on. He made handouts for all of us. He gave a great lesson on Faith. He is such a cute kid!
We took dinner to Pat and Garth on Sunday. It is Pat's birthday this week so we took her a cake and some flowers. It was a tough visit for Keith, Pat didn't know who we were and was pretty out of it the whole time. She did have one lucid moment when Keith gave her a hug goodbye and told her he loved her and she said, "I know you do honey." I was glad Keith had that moment with her. It is so hard that she is physically there, but she isn't there mentally. I know it makes the kids a little nervous, but they do a good job of rolling with it and not over reacting when she says or does strange things. We keep encouraging Garth to get things moving so we can get her into a care facility, she really needs full time care. I know it is hard for him to let her go, but it is too big of a job for him. I don't want to get old!

I'm glad you were able to finish painting the deck and I loved Hallee's comment about being small but a good painter! So cute! I'm so impressed with Wyatt doing the family night lesson and putting so much thought into it! He is amazing! My heart goes out to Keith with his mom! That's got to be so tough when she doesn't even know who you are. I'm nervous about that coming! That's so nice that you took dinner and a cake to her!
