I can't believe how fast this summer is flying by. I wish it would slow down. This summer has been so busy for us, but so much fun.
Keith and I are trying to fit in hikes to prepare for trek. Last week we hiked from rock canyon over to Y mount. We were told if we could do this then we would be fine on trek. It was really tough in a few places. There were a couple of hills that went straight up, we did it though! I was feeling a little discouraged after how hard it was and luckily Tiff gave me the pep talk I needed. We can do hard things!
We decided to go back the next night and hike it again. The sun was behind the clouds and it was about 20 degrees cooler than the night before. It felt so good. We shaved about 10-15 minutes off our time from the night before. It was still tough, but not quite as tough. It is nice to get out and enjoy this time with Keith. He has had a super stressful week at work. We were both feeling very stressed, discouraged and overwhelmed this week. We are really hoping that he can find a new job soon. We went to the temple Friday night and what a difference that made, for both of us. After a week of overwhelming stress and worrying about Keith's job it was so nice to enjoy the peace of the temple. We are both rejuvenated and more equipped to handle the stress. Thank goodness for the temple.
We were finishing up our hike during the sunset. It was beautiful.
On Tuesday Mel and Tiff came over for a while. We took advantage of free slurpee day!
On Wednesday we went to Katie's in the morning. She made us all an amazing brunch, it was delicious. Tiff, Katie and I had fun visiting while the kids played. After that we met Mel and the kids at the dollar movie.
On Friday Allison and the kids came down and went swimming with us. Jack and Wyatt had a blast together. Hallee played with them a little bit, but she had fun doing her own thing.
Grace and Caitlyn had fun together.
I love how much our kids love each other. They get so excited when they get time together and no matter how long we are together the kids always beg for more time.
I think Wyatt likes his new BYU hat from Katie. He put it on right when we got home from church.
We let Hallee and Wyatt each open a present yesterday. They didn't say no to that!
She is so cute!
Today we did birthday party for Hallee with Tessa. Tiff has been so great, she took Hallee during Wyatt's birthday party and today she took Wyatt during Hallee's party. The kids love it and it sure helps me.

Great job on the hiking Allison! I'm sure you will do fine on the trek. You've really prepared yourselves and I know you'll have an amazing experience there. Just remember you come from good stock who literally made it through the Martin handcart trek so we have good blood flowing in us and great stories to keep us going! I love all the pictures!
