I thought I wouldn't get any of the trek pictures for a while so I went ahead and blogged about it. I guess I will just add pictures as I get them. Here is our group on the bus. It was fun that our ward got our own bus.
Here we are during our family meeting the first night.
I love this picture of the sunset. Here is our ward camp at Sixth crossing. It was beautiful out there.
Here is our family trekking along. Sixth crossing had a lot of hills. I'm so glad the kids had so much energy, they would get a running start and run up the hills.
Here is a picture of the bishop's wife pulling him up the hill after the girls had run down to help her. It doesn't capture just how big that hill is. You can see all of us watching from the side. It was so hard not to jump up and help her.
Here is my cart on the women's pull. I was in the back pushing, you can see Keith standing on the side.
Here is our family crossing the first river. The water felt great!
Here is the medical team working on Caroline. You can see Jen holding an IV. Megan, one of the nurses is highly trained in IVs. It was no coincidence that she was there. Because of Caroline's stomach bug she was severely dehydrated which makes starting an IV very difficult. Megan was able to get the IV in with no problem. Megan bore her testimony yesterday about how each person on the medical staff had different talents and strengths and that each one was needed on trek. She bore a powerful witness that the Lord is in the details.
I sure love this trek family of mine!
Here is a group shot of our ward at one of our water breaks. We had such a fun group. Everyone was always joking around and having a lot of fun together.
