Around the house

We have had some evenings lately where we don't have anything going on. I love those evenings!

It is fun to see the kids just spend the evening playing with each other.

One week I did a lot of cooking and baking. Cooking is a struggle for me, I don't love it.  I figured I better take a picture of Hallee and I baking since it doesn't happen very often!

I had to take a picture of Wyatt and Hallee playing nice together.  Hallee has been driving Wyatt crazy lately, so I was thrilled to see them having fun together. 

I am blown away by Hallee's progress in reading.  She has learned over 20 sight words and she is on book 18 in the first set of Sam books.  I didn't even think she was ready, but she wanted to try to read.  She has picked it up quickly and is doing great at sounding out and blending words.  It is so fun to see.  She is also doing great with her numbers.  Her teacher sends home different flash cards for the kids to pass off and she is usually ready in the first day or two to pass it off.  She is loving school and I am thrilled.

I have scheduled check-ups for all of the kids now that we have insurance again.  Hallee was not thrilled with them poking her finger to check her iron.  She was nervous the whole time because she knew she had to get a flu shot.

The doctor gave her a book and a gift bag with a shirt in it.  Crazy!

Hallee and I went to BYU to shop for Jonah's birthday gifts.  She wanted her picture with Cosmo.

It was so hard for me not to go fix Hallee's leotard and skirt during dance.  Luckily, she fixed it after a while.  Hallee is loving dance and I'm really happy with the class.  I think she will learn a lot.
