Hallee and I went on a walk along the river trail today. The Fall colors are just beautiful. I was pointing them out to Hallee when she told me that the changing leaves meant the trees are happy. Fall makes me happy!
I love that so much of the trail is shaded. We took our time today and stopped and looked at bugs and anything else Hallee wanted to look at. The weather has been great, it was the perfect temperature today.
We went by to the river to throw rocks and sticks. We saw some ducks in the water and Hallee said, "mom I speak duck. They are having a meeting and they want bread." I love listening to all of the cute things that Hallee says and seeing how her mind works!
This is the view when I drive into our neighborhood. I sure do love where live. I love Utah County more and more every day. It is beautiful out here and there are canyons and river trails right by our house, you can't beat that! We also have great neighbors, I'm very grateful we were led to this house.
Friday was Ami's birthday and they invited Wyatt to go to dinner with them. Wyatt was thrilled. I'm glad Wyatt has made so many good friends at school.
This is Ami's little brother. Wyatt said he kept talking to him and saying his name over and over. Wyatt is so sweet and made sure to play with him and Ami.
Jonah had basketball tryouts last week. I stayed and watched the first day, he did great. We found out yesterday that he didn't make the A team, all of his friends from the neighborhood and one of his friends from school made the A team. I was worried that it would be hard for Jonah and he was disappointed, but he handled it so well. Today at school his friends were talking about how excited they were to be on the same team and how good their team was. I asked Jonah if that was hard for him and he said, "No, I would be excited if I made that team too. I told my friends that I wish I was playing with them, but it would be good to be on a different team since they are all so good, I will get more playing time and be able to start on my team." I'm so proud of Jonah, what a classy way to handle a tough situation. He is so great at looking for the positive and getting over things quickly. We got an e-mail from his coach today and he made the B team, they had three teams for his age group, so he is right in the middle. Jonah can't wait to start playing basketball again.
