Lagoon

Yesterday Keith's company had a Lagoon day.  It was great, they paid for all of us to get in, paid for our parking and provided lunch! We have been wanting to go to Lagoon for a while, but we had a hard time spending so much on one day! 

We have been debating on getting Lagoon passes again the past two years, but decided against it, mostly for financial reasons.  I'm glad we didn't, I think once a year is good for us now. We loved having our passes for those two years, but we all don't love it like we used to. 

We got there before it opened so as soon as they let us in me, Caitlyn and Jonah went straight to Cannibal.  We were at the front of the line, but they tested it for thirty minutes before they let us ride.  I'm all for testing, but shouldn't that be done before the park opens?  I got a little cranky and negative about that, the heat brings out the worst in me!  We rode it once together and then went back and did the single riders line so we could go one more time.  After that I switched Keith and he went with Caitlyn and Jonah and I took Wyatt and Hallee around.  We went on Bombora together. They were a little nervous, since it has been a couple of years since they rode it.

The lines weren't long at the beginning, but it was so hot!  I got so cranky and made Hallee and Wyatt go on Rattle Snake Rapids, I told them it was either go on a water ride or I would die from the heat (not my best parenting moment).  Neither one of them liked the ride much.  Hallee hated it and screamed and cried the whole time. She laughs about it now, but she was not happy!

Wyatt hated the ride at first, but he was okay with it after a little while.  We all got soaked.  We all felt so much better after getting wet and being able to cool off.

The kids all went on the bumper cars.  We all wanted to go to Lagoon-a-Beach, but we wanted to wait until after lunch so we weren't rushed.  We had lunch at 1 PM.  Keith visited with his co workers while we ate and then we headed to the water park.  When we got there we got cloud cover and the water was freezing.  We had fun swimming for a while and then the boys were freezing and wanted to get out.  We sat outside while the girls swam for a little longer.  As soon as we got dressed and headed back to the rides the cloud cover was gone and it was so hot again!  We should have timed that better, oh well!

After that we got some gelatos and then Jonah watched the kids while we went on Colossus with Caitlyn.  Keith and I love that ride.  After that I took Caitlyn and Jonah on Wicked, which took forever because the lines were long by this point.  It was so fun though, I love that ride.  Caitlyn and Jonah were embarrassed that I scream on the rides!

The lines for the kid rides weren't bad.  Hallee and Wyatt got to ride all of the rides at least once and some of them a few times.  We got some cloud cover and wind again and that felt great.  Caitlyn and Jonah went off and rode some rides and then we all rode the train together.  By about 6:00 PM everyone was getting ready to leave.  Keith and I felt old, we were so tired! It was so great that Vasayo paid for us and I didn't feel like we needed to stay until closing to get our moneys worth!  I'm so glad we finally made it to Lagoon.  We all had our cranky times, but overall we had a great day and a lot of fun together.
