The boys took a selfie on my phone for me to find later!
We finally got a couple of Hallee's dance videos to work. She wanted to get into her dance clothes to do it.
We all worked hard in the yard one day and we got shakes when we were finished. It felt great to be outside and make some progress on weeds and a couple of other things in the yard.
I bought this dress for Hallee's baptism years ago because it was really cheap. I pulled it out and let her try it on. She loved twirling in it. I can't believe my baby will be 8-years-old this year.
Keith and Wyatt needed haircuts and Wyatt decided he wanted to try a mohawk. He looks so cute.
Stud. Now he wants to dye his mohawk, I'll have to see if I can figure that out. I figure it's a great time to try different hair styles and colors!
Mel's girls have been painting and Caitlyn thought that looked fun so I picked up some canvases and paints. The kids had fun with that.
Wyatt wanted to paint a penguin for his room.
It was a great creative outlet for Caitlyn.
I bought some postcards and pictures in the 9/11 memorial museum and I finally bought a frame and put it together. I was happy with how it turned out. When I asked Keith where I should hang it he said, "the bathroom." What? He is never going to live that down. He said he really likes it, he just thought I would enjoy looking at it in the bathroom. Ha!
The Easter Bunny came to our house on Saturday. The kids all woke up at different times so I got to watch each one of them find their basket. Hallee was so excited and couldn't believe that the Easter bunny knew what she liked!
Wyatt loves his new Rubik's cube and Rubik's game.
Caitlyn has been into yoga lately so she was excited with her yoga mat and exercise ball. We were all excited for Codename pictures. We love the original one so we were excited to have another one.
Jonah was thrilled to get a new robe.
He passed his old one (from Cody) down to Wyatt.
Jonah wears his robe all of the time, especially now that we are home all of the time. Cody gave him this robe and it fit him pretty well until he tied the belt too tight and couldn't get it off. He tied so many small knots that I ended up having to cut the belt. He wasn't even going to tell me, typical Jonah. He was so frustrated and trying to get it off before school, he had his school clothes on and his robe stuck around his waist. Caitlyn asked him what was wrong and he got mad at her, luckily she told me that he was upset so I went down. He was so frustrated, but accepted my help. He had his jacket on and his robe was hanging around his waist. He said he was going to just wear it to school and try and hide it. That's my Jonah, he would rather do anything than ask for help. He is getting better about asking for help though, maybe it's because of the robe! We all tease him because the robe is so short. He loves how soft it is so he was happy to get a bigger one that was just as soft.
That night the kids dyed eggs. Jonah wanted to play Fortnite with Cody instead.
I wasn't going to do it this year, but I'm glad we did. The kids had a lot of fun and they have all been eating the boiled eggs.
Caitlyn and Wyatt drew faces on their eggs and named them.
Saturday night we had a Hawkins family zoom call. Ron suggested it and set it up. It was so fun to see everyone. I was really happy to see Ron doing so well. I have been worried about him and Diane. They seem to be doing better. I think having JJ and Hailey home right now helps a lot. It was also good to see Chris. I've been worried about him too. We actually talked through text for a while Friday night, but it was fun to see his face on the call. It was fun to hear the siblings talk about Easter when they were young. I bet grandma and grandpa loved seeing the family do this.
It was hilarious at first when all of my mom's siblings (except for her and Ron) were trying to figure out how to turn their video on. After about 30 minutes, lots of instructions and a few phone calls everyone figured it out. It was so funny to just listen to the chaos. Matt sent this meme, it captured it perfectly!

Oh Keith. ;) That’s hilarious that Jonah was going to wear his robe to school! I want to see the finished product of the kids’ paintings. And the Mohawk makes Wyatt’s hair look way darker for some reason. I love how it looks.
I love all the pictures and stories about the children but Jonah's was the funniest! I can't believe he was going to wear his robe to school and I'm sure he was so frustrated! The paintings looked good but I'd like to see the finished products also. It's great they have artistic talent!! We should have been on the computer Saturday night too cause I loved the way we could see everyone yesterday like you could. I'll remember that for next time. Hallee looked so pretty in her baptism dress! Great blog as always!
