Keith texted me last week while he was at work and asked how my day was going. I told him I was grumpy and having a blah day. The kids and I worked hard all day organizing rooms and sorting through clothes. I was grumpy with the kids and I felt bad, but I was frustrated with them at the same time. Keith came home from work with a few grocery bags and said that we were having a game night, he called it the Loosli family Olympics. He said we all just needed to have some fun.
The kids were intrigued and it helped us all pull out of our grumpy moods.
He had a bunch of minute-to-win-it games ready for us. The first game was trying to get a cookie from your forehead into your mouth without using your hands. Jonah was the only one who did it, we all came close though.
Next we had to keep three balloons in the air for one minute.
We quickly decided that three was impossible and switched to two. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Jonah was the only one who made it the full minute, Cailtyn was so close!
Next we had to move skittles across the table with a straw.
Jonah won this as well. I think he had two more skittles than Caitlyn. After that they had to get ping pong balls into cups. Hallee had a breakdown because she thought the games were too hard and she was frustrated that she couldn't do them the way she wanted to. I let her cry it out and then we talked and she was ready to come back and play. I think Caitlyn won the ping pong ball game.
The last game was to see who could stack the highest tower in one minute. Wyatt's kept falling and he thought it was pretty funny and he measured his one block that was standing at the end. We all got treats for prizes when it was over. Keith tied it into a lesson for our scripture reading. We all had a great time and I'm so glad we did this instead of all of us staying grumpy all night. We really hit the jackpot with Keith. His family is so important to him and he is constantly thinking of how he can help all of us. We are so lucky to have him.

You did hit the jackpot with Keith! How clever to come up with such fun activities and he was so sensitive to your feelings and how the children were feeling! Then being able to tie it into the scripture lesson. Wow! I love all the pictures!
This is amazing! That is so awesome Keith did that! Looks like a super fun night.
