I'm always pretty restless after lunch. I can usually talk at least one or two of the kids into going out with me. One afternoon we explored a different part of the river trail.
We took our scooters and Caitlyn took her rip stick.
The kids weren't very excited about it at first, but they ended up having fun.
We went under the freeway and under the train tracks.
Hallee and Wyatt had fun climbing on top of the bridge.
We always have to stop to throw rocks in the water.
The next day only Wyatt wanted to go on a scooter ride with me. We went over to the Lakeshore Drive entrance and rode on the parkway. This horse was right by the fence and Wyatt was so excited. He named him Larry and had fun petting him and feeding him grass.
Wyatt and I rode to the end of the river trail and then we decided to check out Utah Lake State Park. I didn't have any cash on me, but the guy let us come in for free. We rode out to the lake and explored for a little bit before we headed back.
It was fun to have some one-on-one time with Wyatt.
Wyatt was happy that Larry was still there on our way home. He stopped to feed him some more grass.
We told the girls about the horses we saw so they wanted to go see them the next day. We brought some carrots to feed the horses.
Hallee was nervous at first, but she fed the horse carrots out of her hand.
This horse was so pretty.
Jonah had his own outdoor adventure with his friends. He went on a bike ride with Christian and Kyle and his front tire went flat and he crashed into a wire/pole thing. He called me and asked me to come pick him up and I could tell he was worried. I drove over and picked him up and loaded his bike into the van. He was adamant that he didn't want stitches. I called Megan to see if she would look at it really quick and see if she thought he needed stitches. She was so sweet and cleaned it up and glued it for us. It's so great to have such wonderful neighbors. Jonah was relieved that he didn't have to get stitches.
That was the first week that Jonah hung out with his friends since the quarantine. Erin sent me this picture. The boys were so happy to hang out again.

Those horses are so pretty. I’m glad a friend could glue Jonah’s leg for you!
I love the pictures of Wyatt and the girls with the horses! How fun for them to be able to feed them. I'm glad you get some time with the kids that's fun and relaxed but I'm so sorry that Jonah had his accident but happy your neighbor could take care of him!
