Life Lately

Wyatt loves a good meal and he is willing to make it.  We had left over roast so he fried some potatoes to go with it.  That looks like a good lunch to me!
He also likes to make breakfast and is happy to make it for everyone.  He loves to make pancakes, waffles and scrambled eggs.
Hallee loves when Jackson will lay down with her.
Hallee wanted me to curl her hair for picture day.  She is sure a beauty!
We were all excited when grandma came down for the afternoon.  We had fun playing games and visiting.  She was planning on coming to watch Caitlyn's tennis match, but it got canceled. Provo High was put on lockdown when someone reported seeing someone with a gun in the parking lot.  Caitlyn and Jonah had to stay in their 5th period classes and were able to leave about 15 minutes after school should have let out.  I was pretty nervous at first and so was Caitlyn.  The swat team came and she said she saw FBI agents too.  Police officers came into each class room with their giant guns drawn and showed the students a picture of the person they were looking for.  Caitlyn said they heard people running up and down the hall so the teacher had them put their tables up and sit behind them.  She was texting me during it so I knew she was okay at least.  Jonah finally texted me back (he said he gets terrible reception at the school).  I asked him if he was okay and he said, "Yeah, I'm fine. Some unfound guy is around the school somewhere and apparently he's armed."  I asked if he was nervous and he said, "No, me and this girl I kinda know are just watching scooby doo."  Jonah cracks me up, unfound guy, Ha!  I asked Caitlyn if they were learning or just sitting there because I was curious if she was just sitting there stressing or busy working on things.  She read the text to the class and said, "leave it to my mom to say we should be learning right now."  I'm glad there was some humor mixed in because it was pretty scary for a little bit.  I think they ended up finding the guy and he didn't even go to Provo High, he was a Timpview student and it was an air soft gun.  Thank goodness everyone was safe.  The elementary school is very close to the high school so they went on a soft lockdown.  I was very relieved when I had all my kids home safe that day.
Grandma got to go watch Jonah's flag football that night instead.  Jonah is having so much fun playing flag football with all his friends.  He has decided that instead of trying out for High School sports he would rather just play sports for fun with his friends.  It's fun to watch them have so much fun together.
Grandma was nice enough to come back the next week to watch Caitlyn play.  Caitlyn loved having grandma there to support her.
It was the end of the season so we all went to support Caitlyn, which meant a lot to Caitlyn.  She played great.  She has loved tennis season and all of the socializing that comes along with it.
That night they watched a movie on the tennis court.  Caitlyn loved it.
They have a tournament at the end of the season.  It is during school so Caitlyn got to miss school last Friday.  She played three matches.  I brought a book, sat in the shade and enjoyed getting under a blanket with the cooler Fall weather.  It was a beautiful view!
I love watching Caitlyn play.  She works so hard and is always so kind to her teammate and the team she is playing.  I love seeing her big smile when she makes an awesome shot!  She was so sweet and came and ate her lunch by me instead of with her friends.  I'm so lucky to have such a sweet, thoughtful teenager!
I love Hallee's imagination.  I came home to find her sloth hanging from the stairs and her other stuffed animals were at the top of the stairs looking down at him.
They are doing construction on the river trail on the part that I really like, so I have been going to the canyon to walk sometimes instead.  Provo canyon is so beautiful, I love walking up there.
Hallee needed salt dough for a project at school.  We made some extra so the kids could play with it.  We also made stress balls with balloons.  The kids loved that!
After we went to Rockwell's Lacrosse game Wyatt ordered some Lacrosse sticks and a ball.
Every morning while the kids are waiting to leave for school they set up goals and play a game.  I'm glad he is having so much fun with them.

I'm bummed I couldn't ever make it to one of Jonah's games. Hallee sure is a beauty! And I'm so glad your kids were okay after the scary day at school.
