On May 31st Jonah received his endowments in the Orem Utah temple. I enjoyed taking him to get his temple clothes and his garments. They do such a better job of explaining things and preparing people for the temple than they did when I went through.
Jonah did a temple prep class with the stake. Coach Luke went over temple prep with him during their mission prep and Jonah said that was the most helpful.
The session started at noon, so we got there at 11 AM.
I went to the chapel to wait while Keith went with Jonah to receive his initiatory ordinance and then they met with the Temple President for more instruction about the temple. He helped him better understand the covenants he was going to make with Heavenly Father.
Dad was there early so I got to visit with him in the chapel. It's still hard for me to go to the temple after taking mom to the temple for a few months before she went into memory care. I think about her every time I go and I wish she could have been there. I'm so glad dad was there.
Kyle and Tiff came too. It was so great to have them there.
It was such a special experience to be in the temple with my son.
Jonah and I stood in the prayer circle together and I cried through the whole thing, the Spirit was so strong.
Everyone was nice and let me take lots of pictures after.
Jonah had a good experience, he said he definitely felt the spirit. It's very overwhelming your first time, but I think it was a good experience for him. It was special for us all to be together in the Celestial Room. It was a wonderful day that I want to remember forever.
