The last few weeks have felt like such precious time. Knowing that Jonah was leaving soon for two years made me want to treasure every moment.
The first Sunday in June we went to see grandma. She has declined a lot so it was a tough visit for the kids.
I'm glad Jonah got to tell her goodbye.
Mom couldn't life her neck so we weren't able to get pictures with her like I was hoping.
She always loves a hug from Caitlyn.
We stayed and visited with her until dinner time. She can't say much anymore, but I think she likes listening to us visit.
We got one last picture when mom was holding her head up a little more. It's so hard to think that this is the last time Jonah will see grandma.
After that we went to Katie and Ben's for dinner. It was so fun to have our whole families together and spend the evening together. It felt like old times.
Katie made the best dinner and we had so much fun talking and laughing together. Ben went to the same mission Jonah is going to so he told us some stories from his mission and that was really fun.
I was in baby heaven with Quincy. He is so adorable and just fits right in their family.
Caitlyn and I took turns holding him all night.
Gemma made herself right at home on Keith's lap.
Hallee got braces. It's time for our final set of braces for the Loosli kids. I'm so grateful we have been able to do this for all of our kids, braces are not cheap. Jonah has helped me so much driving the kids around this summer. He took Hallee so I didn't have to miss work and I was able to leave a little early to pick her up.
Pam was in town, so we went together to visit mom.
Caitlyn had the day off so she came with us.
It was a good visit. Pam had seen her the week before and it was a really hard visit for Pam. It's so hard and shocking to see the decline and then mom didn't interact at all.
She smiled and laughed a lot while we were there. She enjoyed listening to us and laughing at the funny things we were talking about.
Mel came too and dad came for a while. We had a great time visiting and reminiscing.
When mom went to dinner we left and we were all hungry so we went to Costa Vida. Pam bought us all dinner and we got to visit more. On the drive home Caitlyn got emotional and said, "thanks for letting me come with you guys, you guys remind me so much of my grandma and it is so nice because I miss her so much." It was so sweet.
When we got home Sawyer was here and they were all playing Scattergories. They played more rounds so Caitlyn and I could join. Jonah and Sawyer hung out at our house a lot that last week and we had a few game nights. It was my favorite! Jonah wanted to spend a lot of time with his friends and Sawyer that last week, but I feel like we got some good time with him too. I tried to be home as much as possible so when he was home I could just hang out with him.
Wyatt's hair is getting so curly. He had a free cut at Sports cut and he loved how they cut it. He looks more grown up every day.
It was Brie's birthday so Karrie and I went in at 6:45 AM to decorate her office. Brie is one of my favorite people. I love working with her and she makes work a place I like to be.
Katie and Ben invited Jonah and I to join them at Tucanos for Kiara's graduation dinner. They are always so generous. Jonah had never been there before and he was so excited. He loved it. I ate myself sick and we had a blast laughing and talking together.
I can't believe these two are graduated.
We have been working hard to keep the yard looking nice for Jonah's farewell. We spent the Saturday before he was set apart weeding, painting the railing and making the back yard look as good as we could. Unfortunately it has been so hot so the grass died before the farewell. Once it gets hot and windy, our grass dies no matter how much we water it.
Hallee worked on cleaning up the shed.
Christian had his farewell the week before Jonah and they had an open house the night before. It felt like there was this ticking clock, especially that last week. Time kept going fast and before we knew it, it was time for Jonah to be set apart as a missionary.

Many great pictures of Mom! Don't you just love Quincy?! Hallee's braces look great, and Wyatt's hair is amazing. I'm glad you got some quality time with Jonah!
